  1. Hiya, anyone tried the e10 unleaded in their vertigo in the Uk, good or bad opinion? does it make any difference over E5 given it’s got 2stroke mixed in? though I would ask before I tried it, been using super unleaded e5 until now, but it getting harder to find. cheers

  3. Hi all, going to respray my fantic 240 frame , anyone bought any paint of eBay recently? Any recommendations for brands? I see there are several available, what’s rustoleum like? Or should I stick to 2k, ps I aim to spray it with gun, not aerosol . Cheers

  6. Hi guys, anyone know where to get a 1.8mm steel clutch plate for gas gas 250 txt 2014. I can only find 2mm or 1.6mm and I could do with something in between. any help appreciated cheers, Gareth

Hi , looking to get some fantic 240 wheels refurbished, bike had been sat in a barn for many years, and I looking to restore it. any recommendations for someone who does a top job near to mid wales for wheel rebuilds and would sort the corrosion out at the same time. Or should I be considering replacing the wheels Cheers
  9. As a newbie, i`m finding my rev4t 250 pretty docile, not crazy at all, .... apart from my broken shock, but got a new one coming now. I`ve done the valve clearances and its not hard if your mechanically minded. Enjoy

  14. Hi all, i`m very new at trials, my 95 jt25 is rubbing the silencer real bad, subframe doesnt seem bent, any suggestions ? would appreciate suggestions, not sure why it rubs as nothing looks wrong. Cheers

Hi all, would anyone have a exploded drawing of the forks for a 1995 jt25, its the later 95 type forks. i`m trying to stiffen the forks, but dont know what parts in mine are standard or has someone been modifying bits, it lookslike the rebound valves are knackered and there appears to be pvc pipe used to make spring preload spacers underneath the springs. can the compression be adjusted? Cheers

Hi guys, i`ve found the lean problem, i`ve just rebuilt the motor, and like an idiot i forgot to fit crank seal behind timing plate when on bench, seal fitted, now running slightly rich on 108 main... that will do to run motor in on. will lean out later. anyone tell me how much oil should be in fork legs? ... and what weight. i seem to use all of travel, just in field pulling wheelies, i`m 76kg Cheers

Hi all, i`ve just rebuilt my jt25 (bought as project) most bits are new or refreshed, i wanted to replace the old knackered silencer, any ideas guys? also mid box is very heavy, is this correct? struggling to get it to run nice, starts a dream, seems to run lean though, i`ve lifted needle as far as possible and mixture screw is 1 turn out, still seems to be pinking though. i read that stock ain jet is 95, with 36 pilot, needle clip 1 down from top, needle d36 and mixture 3.5 out but i`ve got 108 main jet,with 36 pilot, need clip at bottom, needle d36 and mixture 1 turn out how come it seem lean???? .... i`ve cleaned carb to ensure no fuel blockage on another note, the motor is very tough to kick over now, seems very high compression, i did fit all the barrel base gaskets (all 3) that were in the kit, as the piston came flush with top of head with just two. is this norm after rebuild? Cheers for all help
  19. so i can do the crank seals (esp clutch side) (i guess if the other side has gone the bike could suck air?) anyhow can i do these from the outside with just the side cases off? (well and the clutch etc)
  20. ok guys news......after leaving the bike stationary for a week or so, i dropped the crank plug out and red atf gearbox oil came out.....doh, so what do i do next? i presume i must change the crank seal on the clutch side of the engine............ what else should i try before i have to split the whole engine?   22. ok help please guys and gals, my 95 contact 250 has a very wet exhaust and lots of white smoke, runns ok at low rpm but wont rev, how do i eliminate whats wrong, help appreciated, Gareth
  23. Hi guys, so after reading this thread is there supposed to be thermostat on my 95 contact, as my fan runs all the time, but theres no wires to a stat and i havent actually seen one on the bike, is the stat located in the head? or is there not one on the 95 model? Cheers
