  3. My son is 4 and a half but does not ride a push bike very much, when he does it is with stabilizers. Can I get an Oset, thinking of 12.5 with stabilizers? or would it be better to start him without and let his feet drag until he gets more confident / skillful to run with feet up?
  4. I have recently replaced the main bearings, and now all you can hear is the whine. I think it sounds cool!
  5. Can anyone recommend what fuel to use? Some say super unleaded, others say use it now and then. I currently use standard unleaded, but happy to change to super unleaded. Also is there any advantage with using an Iridium spark plug, or keeping the standard plug? Beta 270 2006 Thanks.
  6. I think I have narrowed it down to the radiator temperature sender. If I remove both wires the fan stops. If I short them then the fan starts. I measured continuity across the contacts of the sender and it is a closed circuit. This leads me to believe that the sender is not open and therefore not functioning. Thanks for your help guys. If anybody can confirm or has had the same problem, please feel free to reply.
  7. The terminals have never been shorted before, and since the bikes last clean and coolant top up it has just started to stay on all of the time. I haven't ridden the bike since I have noticed this and this is why I suspected an air lock. It just seems odd that the switch has failed during a bike clean or coolant top up?
  8. The switch? Do you mean the sender in the radiator?
  9. Thanks for the advice. But I would like to get to the cause of the problem. What if I was to let the bike get to normal running temperature then just unscrew the bleed screw a little to let some air/coolant out to try and take out any possible air locks, would that help do you think? I am just not sure if the recent top up has any coincidence.
  10. I have just started to have my radiator fan on all of the time. As soon as I start from cold it comes on and does not switch off. It has never happened before, but the only thing I have done since is top up the radiator. Do you think the rad sender has gone? Any ideas please?

  13. Guys, Thanks for your responses, it really helps. Any tips on engine oil? I noticed mine is pink, so I am guessing it is ATF. Will there be any difference if I revert back to ordinary oil, and would I need to flush the engine first? Or shall I stay with the ATF, if so, which would you recommend?
  14. Yes, I have recently purchased the bike, and am reading stories of corroded engine casings. Anyway, I thought it was good practice to change the fluids anyway. Incidentally I think I have worked out how to drain the system. There is a cross head screw at the bottom/side of the water pump housing, I am guessing that is the drain plug, is this correct? Also regarding fluid levels, what should they be? Can I just add another quality coolant, or would I need to replace all of the fluid? Sorry for so many questions, but I am just trying to understand a little more about the bike. Thanks in advance.
  15. Hello everyone. I am new to trials, can anybody help with the procedure to change the coolant on a Rev3 270 2006? Also I would like to replace it with a pre-mix, again does anybody have any suggestions on which type to recommend? I look forward to your informative replies. Thanks in advance. Pinkbike
