What is classic trials ?
I know it's been said before and will stir up the hornets nest but....... I just hope Twinshocks aren't allowed to get out of hand like 'trick' pre65's.

What is classic trials ?
I think one of the main problems we have is that the title 'motor cycle trials' covers two totally different sports. People can't seem to grasp why some of us ride old bikes. Is it also an age thing? Classic trials seems to be booming but not many youngsters involved.

Tlr 200 clutch
Don't forget to extend the operating arm at the engine end of the cable. Lighter and smoother operation.

Golner Seat/tank unit for TLR200 - anyone have one?
I use both an original unit and copies made locally on my bikes and when fitted correctly they work very well and look much better than the original set up. I am using a carbon fibre outer cover at present.

tlr 200 clutch
The stock Tlr clutch is not regarded as being one of the best and all of my Tlr's have proved difficult to get into neutral when hot.

TLR200 off idle stumble advice please
You may find that most of your problems stem from a worn carb slide. Air leaking past a badly fitting slide causes poor tickover and mixture setup.

Seeley Honda Exhaust
Why not buy one of the Stainless exhausts often for sale on ebay? They are made to fit the original mounting points.
-
Is This Genuine Hrc ?
Looks like a bit of a mixture. RTL engine, wheels and swing arm, TLR frame, Gollner type tank/seat, WES exhaust and modern forks. I bet it works well.

Kick Start From H#@%
Should kick over easily if the valve lifter is working.
-
Tlr 200 - Replacement Front Sprocket
Most of the sprockets have a shoulder on the engine side for the spacing. There should also be a an inner circlip for the sprocket to then sit between the two. Thats all you need as long as the output shaft and sprocket splines are in good condition.
-
Tlr 200 - Replacement Front Sprocket
Should be a groove on the shaft for a circlip to hold the sprocket in place. ps, Did you see the auto decompressor on ebay?
-
Tlr200 Decompressor - Manual Conversion
Ellastone Offroad near Utoxeter import and break TLR's and should have all the parts you need (easy to find on google) Keep looking it's worth doing!

Tlr200 Decompressor - Manual Conversion
Classic Offroad sell the Domino levers on ebay. They may have a suitable cable as well.(Kit) You may have to make a small bracket for the lower end and bolt it onto the rocker box side. You can also use the de-compressor as a kill switch.
-
Tlr200 Decompressor - Manual Conversion
You should fit the de-compressor if only to look after your kick start and starter gears. The auto system is easiest to use as it takes care of itself, but I do prefer the additional manual lever and you soon get used to using it. You will not damage anything by using it at the wrong time as it only lifts the exhaust valve slightly.

Irc Misery.
Are you sure it was'nt a tubed type?

Sammy Miller Or Wes Exhaust For Tlr200 Opinions Wanted
I now use a WES with the shorter back box which seems to let the engine run and rev out better. The after market alloy systems don't work much better than the original but are much lighter.
-
Tlr200 Rear Shock Mounts
The top mounts can be moved behind the frame tubes but this angles the shocks in at the top and there is then an issue with exhaust and chain clearance. Open your legs a bit!
-
Security Bolts
You will need two bolts on the rear and one on the front to stop the tyres creeping. I seem to remember adding extra security bolts to the little scorpa I had.
