No it just provides an extra clearence which does the trick, twigs excluded.
There seems to be a clearence which allows the build up without block up. The snowball effect doesn't happen, not to sure why.

Use atf it will be better, cured? Maybe if you ride it more, but should be better.

I was told by a reliable source that the montesa/honda fourbanger would be ready for freixa and Amos in Scotland, but there is either somr problem with the project or the reliability isn't there, if thats not one of the same.

Here in the south of England it is pretty much a weekly problem, beta actually supply a lifting kit and all makes were affectted even those withstays above, was ever thus!
Take 2 fat (heavy)M6 washers under each bolt and this should suffice. 3 not usually ness.

Never had a problem at all spare parts are readily available from euro carbs.

02's did have this as a fault but the blow moulding technique was changed on the 03's onwards allegedly.

If bought prvately then you got it cheaper than a dealer so go buy a new tank, if not take it back to the dealer.

Sorry bob can't lay my hands on it but give me an area of the bike you aren't happy with and I'll try to remember a few, as a stopgap.
Jay, did you get the package ok?
I used 6mm plate aluminum, followed johns method and passed the plate down on a stiff wire filler cap to tap hole.
Holes drilled of course. 1 bolt into plate,2nd bolt through tap into plate then 1st through tap into plate and tighten. From memory used the o ring, as they seemed to seal ok.

Tap turnaround was one of the mods we always did regardless of metal or plastic tank. The other 73 mods I will post when I get the list out.
The plastic tank mod we did was a little mre sophisticated and involves a metal plate replacing the captive nuts inserted through the tank filler cap, works well.
