has any-one had any problems with the gearbox on the wee gasser. My wee fella dropped the bike at a trial and the chain came off and wrapped around front sprocket which in turn took a tooth of one the the gears. Anyway engine out split and checked the only obvious damage was said gear so replaced it and rebuild .....its now making a really bad noise . The bike before it was dropped was and had always been making a sqealling noise when running around this has now gone but has now been replaced with a noisey gearbox which is not going to be ridden its that bad. any ideas ???????????????

Was wondering if there are any common problems on the 250 09 as am thinking about getting one? am torn between a gasser and an evo. Was almost convinced on the gasser and then my mates 08 kick start went it was the funny shaped cog just inside casing and was told this is a common thing. Has it been sorted for 09? And anything else i should look out for??

I am pondering on the idea of an evo, probably looking to get a second hand 09 after the new 2010s come out. what sort of prices has anyone been given for their 09. Also any horror stories???

as with everything theres pros and cons on both sides,as with the waterfront i dont think thats going to happen shortly(or the next 10 years). i never really thought about the transport point as i live outwith fort william so have to travel anyway and so does joe bloggs from japan ,canada etc....yes its works well where it is, but does it work that well for the club? the point betabill made about the move to anaird, the world of trials was struggling at that time and the ssdt was short on entries for a few years on the trot , fort william has a good thing going on here so if anybodys to make a little effort its FORT WILLIAM!!!!

as a local to lochaber i think it could be a good move, although i think the parade in the high street and the trials show before hand are a big part of the scottish even with the parc ferme at the auction mart it could be still possible to parade all the riders etc in the high street. also with it being up at the mart there is space for a bike test area for all the dealers to show off bikes. has the club mentioned it to the lochaber council as does fortwilliam give anything back to the trial. also if there was really high winds with a high tide the car park will and has been under water. heres one local that thinks it is a good idea

take the inline fuse out cleanup and press firmly back in, had problems myself and only looked at it from the top it looked fine but they seem to heat up and corrode. also takthe wires from the speed dial off ,see if that makes a difference but remember with these wires of the bike is at FULL POWER so be carefull with your test pilot!!!!

if something goes wrong with a two stroke its alot cheaper to fix.i had a 4rt which went wrong and it cost a grand in parts alone to sort. its just something else to consider

the weight of the bike doesn't matter as i'm only going to be playing about really. the only thing is i need to sell the gasser first but just thought i'd see how many of them are about and likely to be for sale, got a funny feeling i might have to come down country a bit to keep my options open!!!!!!!!!
