    Clutch Drag

I also have a Pro and before that I had the TXT model and they both dragged a bit! Unless its really bad I dont know if there is much you can do about it? I would'nt strip it down unless you really need to! Might be worth e-mailing Factory Kev on the Gas Gas UK website in the technical bit. He will help you out!

    Beta Tr34

A friend of mine had a TR34 for a while. When he bought it, it had a bit of piston slap but once that was sorted it was a very good bike! He loved it!

    Clutch Drag

What bike/year is it? Gas gas's do tend to have a bit of clutch drag anyway and maybe you should try using a different oil before you take it to pieces? A few people use ATF in the gearbox and I use Putoline GP10 in mine! As I say they seem to have a bit of drag and this is fairly normal! All of mine have!
  4. Can anyone help with how much gearbox oil I need to put in my 1991 K-Roo please? I have no manuals and it does not say on the cases like it does on some other bikes? Hope you guys can help Thanks
  5. HondaRS the pic above is the markings off the tank as you advised we should check. Are these the right markings and if so which one represents the year of manufacture? Cheers!
  6. Thanks HondaRS I took your advice and had a look under the tank this morning. Is it kinda like a clock face with the year in the middle? Only there was 2, one saying 91 and one saying 92! Either way I guess its not a 307 as they were made in 1990 were'nt they? Thanks again HondaRS
  7. My mate has just bought an air cooled Fantic that we were told was a 307. It certainly looks like one as it has been painted reddy orange and white. However on closer inspection it looks like the tank used to be flourecent yellow and the mudguards were blue! This would suggest to me that it may be a 309 (1991 model) but is there anyway we can find out for certain? Are there any differences between the 2 models (307 and 309) apart from colour? Cheers guys
  8. I cant speak for the 125 but my 200 (175cc) is great fun! I think the Raga 125 has a high compressin head(?) but might be wrong, if it has tho im sure that will give it some extra power!
  9. Yeah I took this pic the day I bought it. Thought I best get a photo of it before it got scratched up Mine was the 240 which did seem very powerful but the 280 was supposed to have been a beast!
  10. Hmmm I best include my other bikes too then..... 2 x Yamaha DT50's Kawasaki KE100 Kawasaki KDX125 Suzuki RGV250 Honda RVF400 1997 Suzuki GSXR600 1999 Suzuki GSXR600 2000 Yamaha YZ125 2002 Kawasaki KX250 2004 Yamaha YZ125 2005 Honda CR125 1999 Aprilia RS250 Think thats em all??
  11. Similar to post a pic of your bike why dont we twist it a little and post a list of what trial bikes we have owned? In no particular order mine goes like this..... 1982 Fantic 200 1989 Fantic 245 19?? Yamaha TY175 1993 Aprilia Climber 240 1993 Yamaha TYZ250 1999 Gas Gas TXT200 1986 (I think) Honda TLR200 2000 Beta Rev-3 250 2001 Gas Gas TXT280 1991 Fantic K-roo 250 2005 Gas Gas Pro 200 Yeah ok so work is a little slow today
  12. This was my 93 Aprilia Climber, another bike that I loved! It was my first new trial bike and it rode lovely! Look at the size of that engine compared to the Pro's
  13. Going back to bike pics tho, here is one I used to own. Another Fantic but this one is a 1989 245. Lovely bike but the clutch used to slip pretty bad and back then I was'nt capable of sorting it out myself! Maybe one day I will get another and add it to my collection
  14. Cheers buddie its very nice of you, all of you! As for Deegan this is from Racer X.... May 23, 2005 Brian Deegan seriously injured Metal Mullisha front man Brian Deegan was seriously injured last week while filming for MTV's Viva La Bam, starring Bam Margera, in Philadelphia. Deegan under-rotated a backflip and hit the ground hard (as you can imagine), lacerating his spleen and severing an artery from his kidney. The kidney had to be removed, but before and during the surgery, Deegan lost a frightening amount of blood. In fact, for the first couple days, the doctors were concerned that he might not make it. Although Brian appears to be on his way to a full recovery, the incident marks another serious casualty of the backflip. Get better soon, Brian. Nasty
  15. Thanks Stu, appreciate it mate Hey Jools, has'nt Deegan just nearly mullishered himself doing a back flip that went wrong? I heard he was in a bad way??
  16. Hah hah good idea JTT I will give it a shot Mmmmm women in tight trials gear.................
  17. Thanks JTT, at the moment she is as high as a kite on all the pain killers they are pumping into her but she is a tough cookie, she will bounce back Ha ha no unfortunately my Fantic aint a fluid drive, the chain and sprox that it came with were ABSOLUTELY kanckered so I am waiting for the replacements. Shouldnt be long as its up and running, only thing is I dunno if I will dare ride it when it is
  18. Celine gasgas I didnt do the trial, my girlfriend had an accident doing motocross so I went to be with her! She isnt in a good way but she is tough, she will be back soon Here is another pic of my K-roo, not quite finished but I am getting there!
  19. Thanks Slapshot they are great I dont know why but I have a major soft spot for Fantic? Think its cos I learnt to ride on one all those years ago? Fantastic pics tho, all these older ones are
  20. Thanks celine gasgas I find mine easier to ride than my older 280 also, it doesnt run away with you when you get tired!
  21. I doubt the side cover bolt would work, I dont think it goes anywhere? If there is no bung then yeah you must have to use the sight glass!
  22. robsmont either you have a tiny garage or you have bought an extra large mont!!
  23. Hi celine gasgas, yes I love it thanks, I havent had time to ride it much but from the rides I have had I am very impressed. Its very capable of carrying me up and over anything I dare attempt The engine is very good and the bike is so light and flickable. I will see how I perform on it this sunday at its first trial. The 200's are available in this country, mine arrived very quickly! How do you like your 125?
  24. Brucej that photo is actually a little miss leading as it does circle a engine cover bolt. Although it is referring to the filler bung which is just located behind the kickstart. The picture is scanned from the TXT2001 handbook.
  25. Thanks for the pointers guys, thats given me something to go on
