  2. Wayne thanks the only thing I'm trying to find is a plastic filter cover, do you know where I could find one?? Paul
  3. Hi Kramit, yes they are the same length as the original ones as I've got 2 of them I can cross check all maesurements. I don't think the photo angle does it justice either. Paul
  4. Sorry forgot to ask Wayne Weedon can you PM with cost of the nice oil plugs you product ie price and delivery. Thanks
  5. Bloody hell Steve that was quick thanks. Yes all the fasteners are polished Stainless. I'm using Del'ortos because I've had nothing but trouble with OKO carbs and I'm running my other 330 with a Del'orto and it runs great. The shocks are from Sammy Miller Products and again they are better than any other I've tried. Should be about 2 weeks and I'll send more photos of the finished bike as long as the tank arrives from Spain Thanks Paul
  6. Finally got the piston but it needed a bit of work doing to it, had to mill the holes for the slipper ports and re-position the top ring pin as it fouled a port. Had the re-bore and fitted everything back together then installed the engine. Steve will hopefully be posting the pictures of it so far. The pictures will tell a better story than me hope you like them. Thanks Paul And thanks to Steve for posting the pics
  7. Jack do you mean had or have. paul

    Best Twinshock?

Thanks Woody sounds like sense to me, I did ask Classictrial but he was not interested and said that the Twinshock Shop has bought everything up?? I think I might just stick with the 330s should be updating steves thread soon with some pics of the first one to go under the knife.
  9. Stickinthemud Thanks you have shed some light on the bike as TR20 123 is the bike I've got so if you have any more info that would be great. Thanks Paul
  10. Hi I've just purchased off a friend a TR20 with matching frame and engine nos, I've been told it could be a works bike as it only has a 3 numbers after the TR20 which is unusual. According to the story they began the production run on the TR20 110 and the first 15 were works riders and the one I've got falls within these numbers, but again I'm not sure it's just hear say as is it could have belonged to Roy Peplow??Any help or could you point me in the right direction. We also have lots of reg numbers and wonder if one could belong to this bike. Thanks Paul

    Best Twinshock?

Reading this with interest, and would like some advice on where to get a Fantic 340 does anyone know I did start a topic in the Fantic section but it seems to have disappeared? Thanks paul
  12. Hope Steve doesn't mind me carring this story on. Just a quick update the bike is in a million bits the frame is painted along with the yokes and fork socks and theres a pile off stuff being chromed. The swing arm is being polished( what a nice clean job this is?) The wheels have been rebuilt with stainless spokes and Finally all new shocks, bars, levers and grips. Only thing I'm waiting for is the new piston to arive in about a week or so. I will send some pics to steve as I cannot figure out how to load them. You'd think someone would put an idiots guide on here for that!! Thanks for reading this Paul
  13. Steve Thanks for the bike, I've already lowered the foot pegs and modified the brake to suite. The next thing will be a rebore when the piston arives and while I'm doing that I will respray it etc can I send the pics to you as I have no idea how to post them here. Paul
  14. Mike got to agree with you, you're right.
  15. FrenchieVery interested would suggest you arrange it round UK bank holidays etc so the wife and kids can get a holiday aswell please keep me informed of the dates if you go ahead with it.
  16. Hi Jim I've got a Mick Whitlock frame and it's finished extremely well, I will take some photos for you and send them to your email. Everything fitted very well with the exception of the rear brake lever and I think that was because I used an RTL engine?? but the only other thing was the head stock bearing on the top did not fit ie the recess was not deep enough so I machined a step in the bearings outter race, the other thing was nothing to do with the frame but I will mention, it was the spacer between the carb and head was very poor quality( I think they come up on theif bay sometimes) because on the carb side it was far to small and only covered 25% of the O ring which allowed air to be sucked in causing poor running, I over came this by making a new one to the correct size, but other than that a very well finished frame and swing arm. I will be looking out for Mick Whitlock at the show to order another direct from him, if I can't get one off him I will make my own by copying the one I've got. If you want you can post the pics on your excellent web site. Hondars250
  17. Bob yes you can get pistons for the TLR I used one for my RS250 rebore but you can only go one over size and you can get them from Trial and Trail John Cane they are not original but a good copy. Paul
  18. Hi I've got one of these and it runs extremely well, and every nut and bolt is ti i was told it came from a museum so don't know if it special or not or they all came with ti nuts and bolts. Paul
  19. Bob One of my RS's did this a rebore and piston sorted it out. Paul
  20. Moral of the story is buy a Honda everytime ha ha
  21. Yes very true, I know someone with a Cotswold and he's on his 4th engine I always say you get what you pay for !!
  22. That's superb just think how much the real ones will go for???
  23. Mike Picture you sent is definitely a RS, oh and have not a clue who bidder3 is it's not me. Paul
  24. Mike Obviously a sore point. My replica will be exactly that a replica, but it will not be botched as everything will fit and look correct. And I would like to know whats untrue because I've stated what is true and what is unsure with the bike. If you have a RS250t you will know what the parts are like, like the tank and the head stock etc I'm not calling you a liar but the most important part of the frame/bike is missing strange? Why call it a RST250 it only leads the potential buyers astray who don't know as much as we do and they think they are getting something they're not! As for the Whitlock head stock I will be able to tell if it's genuine or not. It does'nt matter whats been done to it. But all this aside, is something like this honest to the buyer I would say NO. All I can say is I'm an honest seller/buyer and would not try to jupe anyone if you buy a bike off me you get the full story down to the last nut and bolt. Paul
