James had a big one his clutch broke and launched the bike and him over the top i spoke to him he ok just got a num bum from falling off the rocks hope you all had a good day and got plenty of sunburn as it was very hot for the riders good battle at the top with brown taking the win at the end thanks to all that marshalled and helped out with the event a few pics from yesterdays mitchell and st davids trial in wales http://s144.photobucket.com/albums/r174/mgyg159/trials/
  2. after yesterdays practise we had to make the sections harder for the championship class as for a change its been sunny in wales for a week so iam up and off to venue will try to put up some pics later

  6. the venue is morlais quarry the post code CF48 2UP by the the mountain railway was up there most of the day marking out the sections some good sections will be 9 sections all in short walking distance so practise on saturday afternoon trial starts sunday so come along its free and see some of the best sections in the country

  9. well seems like a nice year for me so il just keep changing the oils and no other worries thats good to now
  10. just bought a 4rt secondhand as not done much work so how often do you guys services you 4RTs i.e engine and gearbox oils every six as per book or more? what is piston ring wear on them like it says to change them after 6 mths is this the case or do the last longer ? anyone rebuild one on engine failure ? and is there anything to keep a eye on in general?
  11. well got my 99 on ebay its all sorted ready to go new tyres all linkages done fork seals ok and some spares to go with it also taxed and mot for 10mths just bought a 08 4rt
  12. im looking to change my rear exhaust silencer as its damaged and worn thourgh on the side so anyone recommend a aftermarket one or should i stay with the original silencer

  18. Ok guys iam in the market for a 08 /09 4 stroke trials bike so whats the best one to buy for the money beta/sherco/gasgas/or monty would like to hear from riders who have had one or riding one at present
  19. would love to but its in the merthyr sections some where didnt see come off only notice when i was going down the hill to the next one ordered H+D so will be on for next week end in neath
  20. only good thing it snapped on the last section so didnt spoil the day has i will be keeping it for a good few months i may buy the H+D one its the price of 2 so makes sense in the long run thanks for that just thought it was me, other wise very happy with bike
  21. first trial on monty and snapped off the rear brake lever so my question is is this a common failure or just a one off breakage ? i have seen a after market lever which is twice the price of the normal montesa part so do i replace with stock or after market lever http://handdracing.com/page3.htm

  23. not to bothered about taking the bits off and refixing them so may have to find a local mech to carry of servicing also noticed shock linkage bearings worn is this easy to remove bearings or will they have to be pressed out? ps big thanks for pdf info iou one of these
  24. can anyone recommend a good place for my forks and shock to be serviced on my 315r im based in cardiff area so local to south wales would be good as couriers have a habit of losing parts
