2.5 hrs !!!!! blimmin eck Ralphy, it took me 4 and i thought i was on fire. gona reduce my porridge and have a look at that veggimite. (hope ive not started an international incident)
in a word awesome. my clutch was fine before but this has made it great ! i done the mod during the week and went out today and tried it out proper. the seemingly endless hours of filing are well woth it . coupled it up with an x blok throttle and its the best its been. very smooth and progresive low down but still sharp enough for attacking the larger stuff late. i dedicate this banana dance to dan williams. trial tommorow cant wait.
i remember seeing pics of some realy neat titanium pegs on here somewhere i think chewy may have made them? tried to pm him but my messaging does not seem to work. any chance of pics and prices? also interested in 80% springs for the evo as i have just completed the dan williams clutch mod and have opted for 2 springs out. hope this is ok to post here andy. cheers jokerr
yep ham, thats more or less what the x-blok has done . a fast action with a the start machined out to match a slow action. simple and hopefully effective. find out at the weekend.
i find the fast action to quick for general use in sections so i use a slow action. however i find the slow action realy throws my timing out when tackling steps is one of these things the answer or do i just persevere with the slow and adapt?
here is what ive done to mine in a works for me styley
super unleaded with ipone
leave switch at 1 for grip 2 for steps
air screw out to approx 1.5 turns ( sounds like thats been done on yours. re choke)
needle position 4 on carb
10 tooth on front
sxs white spring on rear ( im 80kgs as i love the beer)
changed to slow action throttle for winter
settled on flywheel weight in for now
suspension with no more than 1/3 travel (loaded) and a bit of rebound to suit
atf in the box
best of all (advice from the experienced boys on here) IRC on the rear AWSOME
check out dans clutch mod if you feel the need (great post)
im still crap but my bikes the best it can be
the above was the direct result of joining this forum thanks to all
i am about to try and source a spare rear wheel for an 2010 evo. will any modern beta wheel fit ? will any other wheel fit ? mont gas gas etc. many thanks in advance
realy depends where you are situated darren 4.5k seems to be the ave new price. but i would put a lot of value on how close the dealer is to you. you are more likely to use dealer support if you can get to them easily
