Just a note, Wiggy's minder was USA's Brock Sattlemeier
-
-
That was little Oliver Smith I believe.
-
I think Alan keeps saying the same thing and no one is reading it right.
HE WANTS THE USA TO FAIL AT TRIALS!
Just kidding, he doesn't think the NATC should MANDATE what we ride.
Is that clear enough?
-
Lane, I'll never even be as good as to be called a bad rider.
I wish I could have started young and could have been better but
that didn't happen.
Truth is any one could have clamed #7 pro if they were allowed to ride.
The rules didn't allow that. We have a guy in our club that did the same thing
a couple of years back but he didn't really expect national ranking out of it,
just to prove a point. He did ride the whole day and attempted every section too.
I just would like to see you as a multi time US champ riding in the NATC SR 55 class. Curt is riding this year SR 45, he never has a negative thing to say, he scored a section for at least 2 days at the US World Round. Not easy to do after
2 good friends got hurt there (section 15) in two separate accidents on the same day. I'd like to see all the past champs compete though. You'll have to ride a 125 though
-
I hate to sound negative but, are there that many people surprized that the best 125 riders in the world did better than our expert class?
I wasn't. They are the best in the WORLD.
BTW, Ronnie is on a 125, has been on a 125 and will be on a 125.
Cody Webb is about 7 foot tall and 220 lbs. Can't see him on a 125
and being able to compete head to head with a well trained "popcorn fart" sized
rider.
-
That's not the same thing as saying they are bad riders is it?
Just that WR sections used to be easier. That's the way I read it.
Don't mind me though, I stink as a rider, just love the sport!
Just guessing I'd say the sections were closer to hard Advanced/
easy Expert in the STRA.
BTW, Curt is kicking posterior. And Clive is too.
Why don't you ride against them on a modern bike, Lane?
Wouldn't that be fun?
Do you ride any of the AHRMA events?
-
Good to meet you Andy.
Sorry I missed you Atom Ant.
Great time (pretty nervous though)
Good to meet and hang out with several old friends and new ones.
Dave, Mark, Mr. Bill, Alan, Dwight, John, Bob, Pee Wee, Clint, on & on ........
I hope we can do it again next year.
-
Someone said they were bad riders?
-
The problem is nobody's ever argued that point.
Yes the USA would like to do better.
-
Don't exclude the dealers. Find one close with a good inventory
and easy to deal with. All the modern bikes are good.
-
Guess that proves the point once and for all!
Does that mean we don't have to hear about it ever again?
-
Like I tell my kids it doesn't matter how good you are you have to be a good person first
Right you are Chris!
That's why some of us cheer for the folks we cheer for.
-
No offense but txt tlk sux.
Oh and it's Cabestany. Unless your from
New England.
-
She's a great rider, no doubt.
If she had been in the US Pro Class she would have been
in 5th on Sat and 4th on Sunday.
-
-
I agree with Spinner. I found myself cheering for Wiggy.
Nice kid too, he came over and introduced himself to Patrick Smage
while I happened to be there.
-
Hi all,
I have Bernies / Len Weed's book and I've got a few signatures in it.
If your in the book, please stop by and sign it for me.
My trailer says " Magnolia Arkansas" on the side. Can't miss it.
Thanks,
Brian

Craig, are you in Tn or still in the Windy City?
Sorry to go off topic (I think)!
-
Fine line between bravery and stupidity!
-
You don't trust weathermen do you Dave?
Still beleive in the tooth fairy too?
-
That's a good question. I think the numbers will be higher than Duluth.
Tn is more centrally located and the weather is better this time of year.
Running the event in conjuction with a National will also boost the attendence.
The only down side I could see is that school is still in, so some family's won't be able to travel.
A stab in the dark? 6k to 7k.
-
The weather has been great. I hope it stays.
High's in the low to mid 70's lows in the mid 50's.
I'll be surprised if it doesn't warm up for the event.
Unseasonally cool right now.
-
Big fat guy in the middle.
The one on the left is Mike Radford, he is the guy that filmed and produced (I beleive) Hard Rock Trials and the RYP training video.
