I think everyone has missed the point a little what I initially meant was is the balancing as done at the factory consistently right, I.E. is every set of flywheels, con-rods etc balanced for the engine it will be used in, there seems to be big differences in how smooth the gas gas engines run some of them are like sewing machines and others like gold stars. p.s. I know the smaller engines are inherently smoother, there are differences (noticeable) in same capacity engines, or is it possible this is down to runout rather than balance.

I could be interested but I dont understand is it for a gas gas or a sherco as you said, As used and developed for Sam Connor. thanks

Just couldnt resist adding my two pennarth (yorkshire for my opinion) as already stated it is the clamps and not the bars that are the problem I had the clamps snap on my 05 bike when it was only 8 month old and there wasnt any obvious reason for it just a failure due to poor design (look at the amount of material around the pivot pin) especially once a little corrosion takes place between pin and clamp, I was advised to use renthal fat bar clamps as most of the uk gas gas team riders seem to, they are a far better clamp. p.s. no i dont work for renthal. ausy.

according to gas gas manual 03 and earlier takes 270 cc 04 on is 290 cc.

thanks for reply billy you seem to know what you are talking about i have previously tuned a race winning proddy bike ( 250 lc yam ), so i was also aware of the folly in removing reed stops for power on trials bike as for the boyesens the last ones i bought were two stage affairs with a small reed covering a window in larger reed and these did in fact help the low rpm power and torque, i was hoping that would be the type of reed boyesen would sell for 125 pro. i like the idea of sleeving carb as 26 mm seems too big for bottom end power on 125 trials bike but how would you go about sleeving carb, the other things you mention seem a possible source i assume you suggest taking 0.5 mm off cylinder to increase compression and bring power a little further down rev range by lowering height of ports i could then lift exhaust port 0.5 mm to give it back its top end, last point re ignition do you mean get it reprogrammed for more advance as timing is fixed, thanks jeff

Thanks for the replies it would appear nothing much available as a game to run from pc just things on net (which are not usually very good quality) regarding the dougie game advertised on todo trial I e mailed g2f asking if they could help with supply of game I didn,t get a reply so that would appear to show how bothered they are about promoting it.

I agree with andy when I first looked in the arena and saw the nvidia logo it gave me a real lift, I thought at last a major sponsor was involved with sheffield, we might even get a trials game for pc,xbox etc but what a let down when they were only there to sponsor a section, and (mainly) to promote their involvement in road racing, however I must add that although I dont think it was as good an event as in years past, it is still amazing good value and a privilege to watch the best in the world performing what is the most skillful of all motor sports. p.s. just to add to my good value argument it cost me close on
