October 9, 200619 yr If they have changed it, it does not look that different i'm supprised beta have not made more of an issue about it ! I suspect it's more of a case of minor mods to the older frame rather than a major re design. if the tank has been squeezed in by 25mm i wonder if it still has the same tank capacity!

October 9, 200619 yr JUST CHECKED TO SEE IF PLASTICS WOULD FIT FROM 07 ONTO 06,ETC .NO THEY ARE DIFFERENT, THE O7 HAS A RECESS ON TOP OF THE TANK/FRAME AREA TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW TANK PLASTICS AND THE O6 HAS A CURVED TANK/FRAME TOP. THE BIGGEST DIFFERANCE APART FROM THE FRAME WE HAVE NOTICED IS THE TRIPLE FRONT CLAMPS,AND THE FAT BARS,THEY GIVE THE FEEL AND THE LOOK THAT THE FRONT END IS MUCH LIGHTER THAN PREVIOUS MODELS AND THE CLAMPS ALLOW MUCH MORE STEERING LOCK THAN PREVIOUS MODELS,AS THE OLDER MODEL STEERING STOPS NOW DONT TOUCH THE STEERING TRIPLE CLAMPS ON FULL LOCK ALLOWING A TREMENDOUS AMMOUNT OF STEERING LOCK. THE 07 HAS TO BE SEEN IN THE FLESH AS IT LOOK VERY SIMILAR IN THE PICS THAT HAD BEEN PUBLISHED PROIR TO ARRIVING IN THE UK,BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE BIKE IN THE FLESH IT LOOKS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT BIKE,FRAME HEADSTOCK LOOKS THE SAME BUT TANK AREA COMPLETLY DIFFERENT TOP AREA AND HEIGHT OF FRAME,ALONG WITH LOWER REAR END.BUT THE MAIN DIFFERANCE IS WHEN YOU STAND ON THE BIKE TO RIDE IT,ITS STILL GOT THAT DEFINITE BETA RIDING POSITION BUT MUCH IMPROVED ,FOOTPEG POSITION MUCH BETTER,AND WITH THE NEW BARS AND CLAMPS THE FRONT END IS CONFIDENCE INSPIRING. October 9, 200619 yr MAD...N... RICK Any other manufacturer would call these mods a totally new model .......The Frame IS VERY MUCH DIFFERENT..The 07 plastics will not fit any others.. Niether will many of the gearbox parts as there are a page of Lighter changed Pieces... The Fork clamps are completely different !!!! Both of them ... The Frame has also changed by the footpeg mounts to be thicker and stronger.. yes the capacity of fuel has changed about 1.5 tenths less.. If And WHEN you actually look at one next to a 06 or older you will see an incredible difference in Size ... The weight reduction is very signifigant as well ... 3.6 lbs or 1.5 kg approximately.. LOOK BEFORE Sounding OFF The new shock length and settings are PRIMO !!!! ALL AROUND NEW FEEL AND POWER.. Edited October 10, 200619 yr by Ron

October 10, 200619 yr Now then anyone have the date for the BVM test day? bloody hope I can get this finger fixed in time can`t wait too have a go on one of these and will be my first oppertunity of riding the other offerings too!
