Rare Beamish

Featured Replies

Were I in the market for such a bike I wouldn't buy this on the basis that the seller's first language clearly isn't English making the description look like it has been written by a Nigerian scammer...

It’s that rare the 250 gaskets won’t fit, even though it’s a 325!

Didn’t all the 325 beamish’s have reed valves on the barrel?

All Beamish' are rare, yes they all have a chrome frame made of 531 tubing, yes all the black engine models have an alloy bash plate and an alloy tank and yes they all had a reed valve but there are only about 1,000 of them left running - mostly tucked away in someone's shed it's true.

But do you ever see one at a trial? Doubtful, they are all cosseted away in sheds!

If you really want to see a rare one, go to the home page of my website www.beamishownersclub.com

BOC,

you hit the nail on the head there...."how many do you see riden at a trial" great bike, made to be riden, F.F.S. get them out of the shed and ride them.

On the other hand he clearly states that it uses 531 tubing. I doubt a Nigerian scammer would either know that or bother putting it in the description

Hoping to do just that with mine
