Iv read numerous posts saying 2 bikes fully assembled can fit in a berlingo.

Has anyone got a picture of how they do it?

I can get one in with the bike diagonal or with the tyre poking through the seats but I can't see how I'd fit another one in there!!!

First bike in forwards with front wheel over handbrake lever and push the back end right over to the right and then next bike in backwards, rear wheel over the left ride toward passengers seat belt and front wheel next to the back wheel of the other bike ?

I've had 3 in the back of a small wheel base caddy

I can only get one in my berlingo, but I put one on the back with a bike rack

I'll have a go at shoving them in this morning! It just doesn't seem long enough to me! Lol

I'm sure we got two in a van with a bulkhead (can't remember if it was a Berlingo or not) but I always got two in my Berlingo car per Ben Beta's method though it takes a wee bit practice. it's easier if you fill in the left hand side rear footwell with something (I made a wooden framework) and make up a plate to bridge between the rear floor and the handbrake tunnel so the wheels don't "sink".

Yes you can get a bike in with a bulkhead fitted, front wheel tucked up next to the seat belt pillar against the bulkhead, handle bars twisted and back wheel diagonally opposite

We don't have Citroen inn North America but the Berlingo seems like a great trials transport rig if 2 bikes fit. Of course taking off the front wheel might make for a better fit.

I hope my bike will fit in a Berlingo as I just bought one today 

Michael's pictures are of the new model which is longer than the one in which two bikes will fit so should be no bother.

I know this is a old subject BUT has anyone got any pics of two trials bikes in a second generation Berlingo Van 2009-2017 ish. I'd like to be 100% sure before I buy one.

I know other small vans can but it's a Berlingo that I prefer.

I carry one bike in a Berlingo car. Seats removed and an infill in the rear lh footwell. I put the front wheel against the BC post on the passenger side and the back wheel then needs to be fairly close to the driver's side to shut the tailgate. So one bike is easy and doesn't require any precision or fiddling about. I can see how benbeta's solution for two bikes would work, but I really wouldn't fancy driving with the front wheel of a bike between the seats and blocking the handbrake.

If it really has to be a Berlingo (I understand that. Nothing bigger would fit in front of my garage.) then one bike inside and the other on a bike rack seems like the best solution.

I use a 2001 belingo with a wheelchair adaption, fits one in easy and great for unloading as floor is dropped 8inch and ramp is bonus, jaws drop at the trials as its brill, think the 2004 facelift model looks slightly bigger and think at a push I could get two in, and certainly by removing front wheel of one..back in the 80s I used to carry 2 in a hunter estate [yes I am that old] by taking bars off and sliding them in with a board between them. Had 3 in an escort van,2 forwards and 3rd in backwards with bars on top of back doors. needs must as they say..

I'd like to ask for simmilar. I plan to carry one bike, but would like to understand how it fits into the older/cheaper models of berlingo (I think it is 2004-2012).

I never had any van. Nor I have carried any bike in any car/van. How easy it is to put a bike in a small-ish van with low roof like Berlingo.

I am looking at both Berlingo cars and vans, but I guess van is going to have slightly more space + it'll be easier to clean.

you would certainly get two bikes in a transit connect i used to know a guy who had one and he carried two cb 500's in his
