August 30, 20169 yr I noticed in the press materials for the 2017 GG that the frame is called out as being made from '25CrMo4', the implication being that this is something new to this year. Which begs the question, what were the previous frames made from?
August 30, 20169 yr With my master cylinder problem, monobloc front brake caliper hanging up, clutch issues, kick start gear breaking. I haven't been able to ride long enough to break the frame Disclaimer, my 2014 GG was made when GG was on the way to bankruptcy, maybe older models were better? toffee, by the way the break
August 30, 20169 yr Author Sorry to hear it. Other than me burning through brake pads and chains from riding so much, my 2014 has been magnificent.
August 31, 20169 yr All frames break when ridden hard. The 4Rt, Gassers, Sherco`s and Beta has had it`s share too. Too early to tell on the new comers.
August 31, 20169 yr Seen a few posts on the Braktec stuff being not up to scratch. Sadly every manufacturer uses it I think? So whilst it's not good its not really a gas gas only issue. Can't say that for the kickstart gear or clutch
September 1, 20169 yr I beat my Gasser pretty hard, probably harder than I should with riding trails and more dirt bike conditions, still holding perfect, cant beat the old pre 09 frames.
