  1. Don't forget the fantastic Inch Perfect Trials at Whitewell in Lancashire(google them) and Rock n Hop at Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire(they're on Facebook). I think it' s Horsforth Club that have their own woods for practice(if not, then its another Leeds based club) and Scarborough club have Low North Park, a large patch of land for members to play on. Bumpy is a good starting point, and not far from the M62 at J27.

    Beta rev 3 2001

Arrow pointing left is off. Arrow pointing up is on. Arrow pointing right is reserve.
  3. Could be a timing issue if the stator isn't sitting quite right. Is water getting in to the cylinder? I had a bike recently where water from the cooling system was getting in to the cylinder, quenching the spark. A new head gasket sorted that one. Kick starting with the plug out will send water all over you and your workshop if that's the case.
  4. Alexz Wigg's uncle, the late Simon Wigg was Long track World Champion and was one of a handfull of British long track riders in the 80s.
  5. Welcome aboard! No, you're not just lucky, we're all friendly!
  6. Awful news. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times on the Dougie training days. He was a great teacher and so approachable. And he was my childhood hero in the 70s. Condolences to all the family.

    Fork Seals

I reckon you'll be okay with those. I've had loads of bits for other bikes that have fitted just fine.

    Rev 3 Value

Maybe 12-1500 darn sarf. Oop north 9-1200 would be nearer the mark, some Technos are still fetching 800.
  9. My pdf manual doesn't specify engine size, although it's a 250 in all the photos. I don't think my hard copy does either. They're both Owners Manuals rather than Workshop Manuals. Wouldn't it be great if Haynes did trials bike manuals??
  10. Paul is right. Stick with either Beta or Sherco. Decent bikes and spares readily available when you need them. GG and Ossa are risky in the longer term.
  11. And how will this affect Becky Cook and Ross Danby? Presumably their deals are with Steve Saunders, so I suppose they'll be on TRS ASAP.
  12. I feel your pain, never got either of mine back. Hope you do! I'll keep an eye out at Bumpy.
  13. Cheers Steve, I'm not sure if some people have confused the Rookie with the Cadet and/or Boy. A couple of shops told me that I need the dedicated pedal from Gas Gas (£60. yikes). My local shop, RAS Sport in Brighouse have today sold me the standard 09-15 replacement pedal on sale or return(£30) and it's fitted fine, using a bush from a Rev 3 that I had lying around, and a bog standard M8 bolt, not the shouldered one. Job done.
  14. Nice bit of frog porn there. If I was another frog I'd be doing something very inappropriate after watching that filth!
  15. Hi Everyone, We came home last week without a brake pedal on Mini-Me's TXT 70 Rookie, 2003. We can narrow it down to about 9 acres, but I'm not going to look for it! Does anyone know if the standard, plentyful-on-ebay, brake pedal for a 02-09 Gasser will fit on a 70? I can't find an exploded parts diagram anywhere for the GG(if it was a Beta I'd be laughing), does anyone know where I can download one? Thanks for any wisdom that's coming my way.
