I'm asking the question first before i attempt to open it up. Is it possible to adjust the rotation of the throttle so the housing with the wire can point in a different position. I'm thinking this has been done to my throttle already as the open and closed positions differ from the other bike i have and this one will clash with the brake adjuster if i put it in the position i need it. Currently the closed position lines up with the clip on the housing body (blue line) whereas i need it to be the open position lining up with the clip so the main part of the housing points down rather than being where it is clashing with the brake lever. I hope this mak…

I've just bought a 24 Escape X, I plan to ride it a bit as delivered to get the feel of things before I try EM Connect, I'm very much an old dog that needs to learn some new tricks. I'm a bit intimidated by modern electronics, I mostly just use my phone as a phone. The manual seems to explain things pretty well but I'm skeptical that it will really be that simple. Can anyone give me any tips that will make my first experience with EM Connect easier? On another note, I plan to install a left hand lever for the rear brake and remove the foot brake due to my own disability. Research has led me towards using a 9mm Brembo clutch master cylinder for the rear brake althoug…

I have now been riding an EM for 4 years but there are still things I think could be done better, and I'm wondering if they are possible. I would like to have a little bit of "engine braking" when the throttle is closed. I quite like the idea of the "Finger Throttle" on this page, https://www.electricmotiontech.com/home/em-epure-race/regen-experiments. If I understand correctly, this would be a straight bolt-on if I could get the right finger throttle. It could replace the present PRB-R (2023 bike) and the 0.8 volt would provide the engine braking. Right? I only ever use green and blue maps so I would like to get rid of the red map so that the sequence would b…

Me again! Ok todays problem is as follows: Went out riding and after about an hour the bike (Epure race 2021) kept dropping the map intermittently and returning to the clear light. No rhyme or reason to it, sometimes up hill sometimes down. Messed about abit and i could replicate it when the handlebars went full lock either way so faulty wire i thought, easy fix, trace the wire and sort it. Got home, washed the bike, removed the fairing but now no power at all going to the map light (still power to the kill switch). My son has the same bike so i thought i'll try plugging in his map switch/map light but still nothing. Then i tried it with the throttle …

Should the front disc have play in it or be solid? I could hear a noise from the front wheel area and found the disc has play in it, the bolts are tight but it looks like some kind of washer has degraded maybe allowing side to side play on the disc. I'm thinking it shouldnt move but always best to check lol and were can i get replacement washers form if it these that are the issue. I have two 2021 bikes and its the same on both

Being new to trials bikes and coming from mountain bike background, how is best to set up the rear shock for my weight? At the minute it feels quite wallowy, should it have more rebound and is it a case of adjusting or buying a new spring for my weight (will any make of spring do or are they manufacturer dependent?) Cheers

I've just come across an issue with my Domino throttle. After a small inversion that has left the throttle with a minor scar in the plastic (which may be a red herring), it has become sticky. Off the bike or with the clamp screws loose, it is fine. As soon as I start to tighten the clamp screws the self-closing disappears. I've tried packing the clamps with a thin piece of plastic: no good. I've tried tightening the clamp screws with the throttle off the handlebar and it works fine. Any ideas? I'm reluctant to take the throttle apart because of the return spring and the alignment of the gears, but that is looking like it will have to be my next move.

Can anyone here elaborate on the operation of the PRBR? Specifically I'm wondering if it could serve as the sole rear brake, my disability makes a right foot brake useless for me. I've found a couple of online reports of experienced riders removing their clutch levers and using the PRBR lever from the non clutch model and in at least one case removing the rear brake pedal. I really can't imagine riding a dirt bike without a clutch but i have no significant experience with electric bikes.

Might be a daft question but are they universal or specific as i see some with the bike type referenced but others not? Which will fit an Epure race 2021? Cheers

My old 21 Escape R apparently has had some throttle damage. I remember reading here someplace that a replacement (Domino?) has been used with good results and the quality was better (stock was not great). I cannot find it, please help if anyone knows. (Note, I no longer own the bike, just helping owner out). Mark

I've just bought an ex-school 2023 ePure Race from Inch Perfect. It looks beautiful and I'm generally very happy with it, but like any secondhand (or even new) bike there are one or two things to sort out. I'm not impressed with the way the TKO switch is mounted. It's awkwardly inaccessible and is mounted on a curved bit of frame tube so it doesn't fit well. As a consequence mud and water can get into the back of the switch, which has happened. I'm thinking of putting it on the handlebars instead. Has anyone else tried that? It would require a two wire extension about 1 metre long (I haven't measured it yet) with male and female connectors. I can find pre-wired connect…

Have a new 23 epure (not race). I’m struggling with the lack of feel in the rear brake. I’ve been riding a 5.7 since err 2014! Upgraded in 2016 and from the getgo converted the back brake to left handlebar mount (like my mountain bike) primarily to stop the woohoo let’s go backwards free wheel experience when the motor cuts on a sudden load (going over a log fast uphill). You only do it once! 23 has the anti reverse- nice so I thought I’d be a big boy again and go foot brake but it’s horrible no feel it’s nearly put me over the bars - it’s like a very good parking brake! I use the PRB but I like the throttle against the rear brake to tighten turns and the PRB doesn’t …

Missus' 2021 epure race. I fitted a new chain and set it up like every other bike I have ever done - one finger gap between the spring adjuster and the swinging arm. Now it has a squeak - like a dry brake squeak which seems to come from the output sprocket at the motor end. We have both ridden it for a while but it is still there. Brake is fine and has not been touched, not had the back wheel out. No play in wheel bearings or gearbox output shaft as far as I can detect. I have backed the tension off a bit and the noise has gone. Squeak was in time with wheel rotations so it is somewhere or somehow related to that. My guess is a wheel bearing, but there is …

Has anyone upgraded their pre-2023 ePure with a Domino throttle? Was it easy to install? Any noticeable difference?

I had never paid much attention to the breather tube on the clutch/primary drive case until today. While doing a bit of fettling I noticed that the oil was milky, so obviously I changed it. When I looked for a cause I spotted that the breather tube ended near the swing arm pivot. Well, last weekend I washed the bike after a trial by riding through some deepish water. The end of the tube would have been under water so I'm assuming it sucked up a bit of water then. I've no re-routed the pipe to finish near the spring top mount. Just a heads-up to anyone else to check it before they fill their clutch with mayonnaise. And on a different (but related) note, what was the d…

Hello everyone, I purchased a new 2023 EPure Race trails bike about a month ago. This is my first trails bike so I am pretty excited about it. Last week I rode the bike with zero mechanical issues. A few days later, I rode the bike again, but this time as soon as I gave it throttle the clutch was slipping, and it was very apparent. The slightest incline, causes the bike to struggle and I can just hear the motor wind up but very little power. I have ridden dirt bikes, all my life, but are new to trials. I have not been beating on the bike hard or popping clutch at high RPMs a lot. I do the occasional clutch pop getting over down trees but that’s about it. I checked th…

My rear shock from my 2022 EPR is blown. I do not want to spend big bucks, so I am thinking rebuild Vs a used R16V? If so, is there a single size for the R16V?
