I have bought a genuine Yamaha air filter for my TY 175, and in my Haynes workshop it shows a plastic holder, I have loaned one for now but were do you obtain this item as Yamaha don't show it on their database! Is it necessary or do you just fit filter on its own?

hi someone said strip the gearbox on my old ty175 but how do i do this because the nut wont crack on the clutch plate holder because ive got nothing to hold the friction plate holder wuith thanks in advance

Anyone here know which front brake plate is used when converting the front brake on a TY250 mono to use an external arm as opposed to the enclosed one. I have one but it has been repaired and just need to sort a new plate. It is a Yamaha plate and has magnesium in raised letters on it. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently in the middle of rebuilding a 92 TY250 pinkie, the bike has done hardly anything at all covering most of it's 490 miles on the road. So with this in mind, will the shock require recharging? Is the nitrogen just to keep the oil cool?, and will it have escaped over time? I should have tried it before I split it but I'm unable to ride at the moment due to an injury. I have access to nitrogen up to the required (I believe) 170 psi but as they're is no schrader valve I can't charge it. Is it possible to fit a schrader valve or will it be a case of sending it off to Falcon? Any help appreciated.

I was going to replace the exhaust pipe on my 85 TY (mono) and when tapping on the expansion box area losts of large pieces of tubular rust or what was baffle fell out. Will it effect the performance good or bad? I have the option to return it but they are tough to locate in the U.S.

I have got to prepare my 250 majesty for a friend to ride in a trial, I have not used it seriously for about 10 years. I cannot remember the oil volume or viscosity/type for the gearbox/clutch or the forks. Please can anyone help, with regard to the forks they are standard Yamaha and if you give an answer I would be interested in the weight of rider. Thanks

Have done some mapping of bolt patterns TYR/IT by pics but want to ask if any of you can confirm if any IT cover (as clutch cover, and cases -82) do fit TYR?, simply because of available NOS/used IT250-490 parts.... Bolt patter ign covers -82 IT 3 holes and TYR-84-> 4 holes. I

hi everyone my ty pinky with the front brembo disc caliper is not working properly. sometimes i can pull it straght in to the bar without any braking. i have blead the brake and nothing came out. can enyone tell me how to cure this? thanks

Ty 175 clutch cable? hi i have snapped the old lever off, lol. but now i can not adjust the clutch cable up enough! (it is the correct cable i bought it off ty trials 5days ago!) any ideas? thankyou ezra.

A good few years back (about 5-6 years ago) I sold a TY Majesty (mini iirc) on eBay, and I'm looking to trace the bike just out of interest to see what's happened to it. I'm hoping the owner's on here. Hi, My Yamaha TY80 manual states the correct gearbox oil as 10W-30. The only oil I can find locally is semi-synthetic 10W-30. Does anyone know if this will be O.K. Or do I ned to keep searching. Thank you in advance.
