Hi Guys Although I specifically want some new levers for my 1974 TY250 I thought it made more sense to ask in here as it is a more generic question What levers would you recommend ? I currently have some VERY nasty generic ones on the bike and need to change them asap Also do all the trials levers on the market accept the same size cable barrels ? Thanks in advance for any help

I need a new rear tyre for my recently acquired TY175. Can I use a Michelin X Light... WITH an inner tube in it? Reduced unsprung weight being my objective you see, or am I going to get punctures constantly? ( I don't do much rocky stuff btw) Cheers Bill

Hello guys, I bought a few weeks ago a Kawasaki KT250 from 1976 with 75 miles on it ! While almost new, there are of course a few issues mainly due to not being used. The bike now runs very good. There was a dead spot right over idle when cruising in low gear and opening the throttle. A little delay of a second or so. I opened the carb, reset the needle to factory setting, installed a new float valve and a new bowl gasket. That did it as far as the one second hiccup. BUT, just as when I bought it, as the bike seats on its sidestand overnight, gas comes sipping out between the bowl and the carb body itself. Hi, I am getting ready to start modifying my Ty 175 frame and swing arm. I am looking for advice and possibly pictures of which mods work the best. I was planning on using either falcon or magical rear shocks with the swing arm extended with the top mount moved down,and possibly stock front forks with magical springs or a complete 250 conversion. Is it possible to heat the top tube/cut the center tube to change the steering angle to 26 degrees. Is it also possible if I made jigs can I make a stock frame into a close copy of a majesty 200 like I have seen done to a 250 on this site. I have access to a perfect Majesty 200 to use as a example. Just picked up a second hand electronic ignition kit for my Cota 200, its one of the Motoplat kits like the ones on the france Classic Trial web site and I was wondering if any one else is using one? I have fitted it but the spark looks weak and when riding around slowly every so often it just stalls!! I have tried different carbs (new Mikuni and Dellorto) so it is not a carb problem and of course plugs, I also fitted the old points system and all is ok. I know the flywheel is a lot lighter but that shouldn't let it stall!?!?! Its more like it cuts out rather than stalls and will start easily straight away with one kick. Got a tiger cub project I'm working on and need some shocks as the njb fitted are too soft and tired. Problem is that nobody answers the phone. I've tried Robin on numerous occasions and have got nothing. A friend suggested Rockshocks so I called them. Nothing. I've tried at different times of day too. I'd like to buy British but them betors will get the job done!!

Hi I am going to try threebond in place of the paper gasket on my TLR200 clutch case - I have good reason. But the instructions are apply and assemble in 1 minute and that is about it. I have used loctite products before and with them you assemble but don't tighten until 24 hours - but the threebond tells me nothing - I have googled and got no further so: do I assemble and fully torque the bolts how long before I can fill her with oil and start Thanks in advance

Hi I was wondering what people are using to remove the paint from engines other than blasting. I dont want to strip the engine other than removing the head and barrel as it was rebuilt nt long ago and im not doing a total resto but just want to tidy it up a little. I then want to repaint it but dont know which paint is best. I dont have access to a compressor so two pack paint are no use, I was thinking of one of the aerosol types but dont know which is suitable. Thanks in advance

Hi guys From what I can see many twin shock bikes came with tiller style yokes as standard and most modern bikes do not. It also seems quite popular to either mod or change the top yoke to get rid of the tiller system. So what was the original thinking behind them and what has changed now that makes them a bad idea ?

I have a parts diagram but cant figure out what im missing or where it all goes! All can figure out is that im missing kickstart shaft circlip and spacer/washer. I have 4 large brass shims for crankshaft but have just one small brass shim is this for selector? and should there be more? also there is another six shims where do these go? I will post a link to pics so please help as im at a loss!

Hello I have a 1983 349MH which I think has the wrong stautions. With the bike lent against the wall the length from the centre of the axle to the bottom of the bottom yolk is 52cm. Is there anyone out there with one of these bikes who could take this measurment for me. Thanks

I don't know if anyone has ever tried to check the operation of your ignition without the engine running, can be useful if the bike wont start and your unsure of whats causing it, especially if you have electronic ignition. I thought I would share this video on UTUBE with you as its a easy way of testing without annoying the neighbors and gassing yourself in the garage. This method will work on points and electronic so long as you have a drill or something that will rotate the engine. Don't say too much about the idiot doing it....its me.

Hello... I have just bought a cota 348... first trials bike in 20 plus years.. How is the suspention on a trials bike set up ? Sag height %.. unloaded & loaded "with rider weight" The rear shocks are stuffed , So they will be replaced I'm only going to use it in the clubmans class so am looking at a set of Betor shocks , prise is not to over the top.. As I live in NZ I have to take into account exchange rate & shiping cost.. when those are added on cheaps not cheap any more.. Thanks Pete

Hi. i've got a twinshock fraser honda 305cc, its been sat around for ages and i've now got some money to do it up and start riding it. can someone direct me to a website that tells me what i can and can't do to it to and still be able to complete in the normandale series? all i can find is this - CLASS B – Machines with Twinshock rear suspension as fitted at the time of manufacture and fitted with drum brakes, not included in Class A. i only have a bit of money so it wouldn't be anything major but i'd be gutted to arrive at a trail and not be allowed to ride. thanks for any help wayne
