Thinking of getting my wheels re-spoked over the winter. Can anybody suggest a company that will do them and a rough cost? Also, do they re-seal the back spokes with rim tape etc or is that up to me?

haven't looked at the manual yet , but was wondering how much of a job replacing fork seals was going to be on my TYZ? Do you undo the caps at the top of the yolks, drop the forks, empty oil and pull apart? I guess you prize (sp?) out the old items and insert new? Is there any special tool I may need, or could a mechanical numpty like me do it with basic tool kit of spanners, screwdrivers and sockets, hack saw etc. I think previously someone (could have been Woody) suggested I leave well alone unless somethings the matter, but that time has come.... Cheers, Pat

Hi all, Just like to relate a recent SURPRISE I had when doing some internet shopping in Spain. This MIGHT be my mistake/misunderstanding...but nevertheless. THe items were sent UPS which obviously to Hong Kong is probably 3 or 4 times more expensive than normal post. But apparently that is how they always do it, unless you ask for "normal" post. Unfortunately I didnt know that...so just thought you guys would appreciate the advance warning.

Ok this may sound like a boring thread but I could do with some advice. I am in the process of tidying up a 91 Fantic K-Roo and I am wondering what would be the best way to clean up the rear mudguard/seat panel which is that unpainted white plastic type stuff? I have been very lucky when I got this bike as the mudguard etc is still in one piece! It has the usual scratches and stuff on it but no cracks. So now I need to get it clean and fairly smooth again so I can apply the graphics and make it look like a minter again Anyone got any good tips? Cheers!

This just released via the assasisted press: World Moto Trials competetor Adam Raga shocks the world by signing a 5 year contract with the comback company of the century OSSA motors for a reported $1,500 a year. In a recent interview Raga stated: "I am very excited over OSSA's new 4 stroke motor. This is the first trials motorbike that doesn't weigh more than me and has more power than I will ever be able to use. Best part of my new deal is that I don't have to hear about the crazy Amercian, Ringo, making fun of my motorbike everytime he comes to dinner. Infact I had to kick him out of my country last year for being so doggone obnoxious" OSSA's research and des…

Hi all, Just been trying to fit a tubeless tyre to my Montesa 2000 (front). Only just bought the bike. Used to have a tube in it, so I left the tube in, but the tubeless tyre wont seem to bead on that rim. Are they VERY different...(tube and tubeless front tyres??) I thought it wouldnt matter. AND..in that case...could I fit a tube type front tyre, on my Beta Rev 3 that is meant to have a tubeless front tyre Might seem like a strange question, but tyres are VERY hard to come by here in HK, so you often have to "grab what you can" I have now however, officially given up trying to get the tubeless tyre to fit on the front of the MOntesa....after much sweat and swearin…
