I have been getting a lot of phone calls about our club trial this Sunday which is round 4 of our club championship. There seems to be a rumor going the rounds that our trial is not going ahead because it clashes with the Mansfield Maun Derbyshire Dales National Trial a round of the Normandale series. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH !!! Our trial is most definately on and after speaking to Barry Burton who after all is the land owner as Dudwood Farm is also his home it appears we are also getting access to some new land which we have never used before. So please ignore any rumors you may hear, i would love to know where they started and why, and come along, ass…

To be held at Emmotts just outside Silsden start at 11:00am. Sections are in and around a rocky stream. All Adult and Youth Classes on Hard 50/50 and clubmans courses.Small Wheels will as usual be running on a separate course. For those needing directions to The Venue you need to go to Silsden via the A628 from Keighley/Skipton or the A65 from Ilkley/Skipton. Take the Main road (A6034) into Silsden. The Road to the Venue is off the 6034 (Silsden/Keighley/Bolton Road) and is called Clog Bridge. This is opposite the Bridal Wear shop. This Road goes past the Toyota Dealership and changes name as it leaves Silsden to Holden Lane. Continue along this road carefully and the Ve…

The Clubman 2 day at Lordsones cafe run by Middlesbrough DMC will take place on Sat/Sun 7&8th May. (it may the only time it runs). The Landowner has sold the land & Cafe, as yet have not been in touch with the potential new owner - THIS MAY BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE. Classes for Clubman A&B and Youth over the same sections. All sections will be dual route, so will suit a wide spectrum of abilities. This is an Open Event - so everyone is welcome! Exp/inter welcome on no award basis. Those that rode the single day events at the venue last year will know what to expect, but if you have not been before a couple of excellent gullies (& yes the double sub wil…

A sunny Easter weekend and a dry grippy Cookes Wood, Youlgrave near Matlock welcomed a disappointing entry of only 39 riders for round 3 of the Peak Classic club championship incorporating a round of the East Midlands Centre ACU Classic Championship. A lot of the club stalwarts were away at trials in Devon, Stafford show or family barbecue

Brilliant trial today, a lot of happy riders heading home. Provisional results as they were on the boards however, because there are a number of placings in many categories tied on marks lost official results won't be ready until Janet and Carolyn get together on Tuesday evening to sort them out, please don't bagder them for scores.

The Peak Classic Trials Club held round 2 of their club championship at Bracken Rocks near Holloway, Matlock, Derbyshire last Sunday 20 March and what a difference to the muddy wastes of the previous round at Dudwood Farm. Bracken Rocks was in perfect condition having dried out over the past few days to leave the 41 riders a 4 lap course of 11 sections mostly comprising of grippy rocks and tree roots at this ever popular venue. A lot of the familiar faces were missing as the event clashed with the Bemrose and Red Rose Trials however the regulars that did make it had an enjoyable if challenging day with no one having a clean sheet. The nearest to zero marks lost was everg…

DALES CLASSICS TRIALS CLUB Sacheveril Farm, near Elton, Derbyshire 13th March 2011 Club Championship Round 1 The improving weather drew 58 riders to this increasingly popular Derbyshire Dales venue. A course of ten tricky but cleanable sections incorporated a 50/50 option for the first time and the observers were also rewarded with Sainsbury and Boots vouchers for enduring the chill wind. Trophies for the 2010 Championship were awarded at the nearby Miners Standard following the trial where an excellent buffet encouraged a healthy compliment of riders and observers to congratulate the presentation of trophies sponsored by local and associated business. A slide sho…

Not seen any other post on here other than the super quick results service but last weekends Normadale double header was a cracking weekend and thanks must go to all that helped put the two events on. I believe both trials had full entries and the organisers put on events that admirably catered for this number of riders.

A date for your diary folks. Those of you not going to Scotland this year, Middlesbrough DMC will be running a Clubman 2-day trial on 7/8 May at Lordstones, Carlton Bank, N.Yorks. Sections will be dual route with classes for Clubman A&B, Youth (over the 2 routes) & hopefully Twinshock / Pre-65 over the 2 routes also (TBC) - Start times are still to be confirmed (watch this space). There will be camping on the Saturday - again more details to follow, the start on ssaturday is likely to be late afternoon - so plenty of time to get there & put up your tent. This is a great Clubman venue, incl a couple of good rock gullys & decent ride round, for those not b…

There's a warning on the website that Leeds City Council appear to have trashed the entrance to Post Hill. This has happened due to Heavy Machinery being used to create a "wetland" area. Please check their website before travelling.
