Hi,i am new to this forum and probably too old to trial now.The thing is,i bought an Ossa in 1975 from a bloke that claimed it was Mick Andrews 1972 ssdt winning bike.Anyway,i rode in a few trials in 75 &76 and was absolutely bloody useless.In fact i won a prize in a Boxing day trial,for coming last.Anyroad up,i broke the sodding front wheel ,hitting a large tree head on.After that i was a bit disenchanted with trialing and couldn't aford to fix it so i slung it in the back of the garage,where it has been until now.I have just finished restoring an old s.v.BSA.and have now decided to restore the Ossa.I have the original old type log book for it ,which says "imported …

Hi all. My 14 year old has a KX85 Motorcross bike and to give him some riding time in a safe and legal enviroment we have paid our fee to Grant and have been using Eadon fields at dronfield. Im sure some of you will know it. Obviously while there we have seen the trials riders and im keen to have a go. I sold my last road bike 2 years ago and apart from a go on the lads bike have not riden since and have never riden trials. So at 47 am i too old to start? Im 5'8 and 11 stone reasonably fit, but im guessing it quite a physical sport. Any other late starters on here to offer advice? Cheers gary.

Greetings All, Trials bikes are unbelievably rare where I live on the East Coast of Canada. I have had over 30 motorcycles since my 1st 1972 Hodaka 100 B+. I currently own a 2003 Kawasaki ZX9R Ninja and a 1984 Honda XL200. I have been very curious about trials since seeing it on wide world of sports back in the early 80's but have never even sat on a trials bike. We just sold my sons 1st bike (Honda 70) because he outgrew it. I am considering a vintage TY250 for him because he has expressed an interest in novice trials riding and anything that gets him off of the computer is great to me. I have come to this forum in search of advice and information.

I have had a couple of Trials experiance days at Inch Perfect recently. Thanks for your patience Mathew. Just wondering if any one can tell me if there are any local Trials clubs near Warrington. Cheshire. I am looking to take up the sport once again and need to find a bike and club. Any advice will be greatly relieved. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, has anyone renewed the ACU Trials Registration via the sport 80 website for 2023? Is that just one licence for solo/sidecar driver/passenger in 2023? many thanks,René

Hi everyone, if there's someone that might offer a thought on reading this plug it would be appreciated. There's a slight oil residue around the edge, but mostly carbon build up I think, mostly a dark grey colour. It's 6 hours old from a new Gas Gas 250. Motor runs well, no missing or popping, starts 2nd kick (most times) Most running time is only around 15 minutes squirts as my backs shot and wrist is busted. Any thoughts appreciated.

Trials looks like something I might like - coming from car trials and comp safari. Never been to an event, seen the indoor events on tv, local club has outdoor trial on the 12th Feb. Don't know which bike is easiest for a fat, old, never done it before newcomer to start with. Any suggestions? (yeah, loose weight, haha)

Hi, I’m totally new to trials riding but wanting to do something and get a hobby, I am 45 been round motorbikes all my life, I am worried about starting out at my age with no experience and not knowing anyone, my question is it ok to be a total novice and zero experience not wanting to embarrass myself, can you go practicing and just do easy stuff out of the way and not look silly until I get some confidence?

Hi I am Richard I live in France (Brittany) and am new to trials. I have an R6 road bike but fancy some fun on a Trials bike. Plenty of land around me to get me started but bikes appear to be in short supply and condition may be a problem. I have done some reading looking around and fancy a Beta Rev3 probably an 03-06 would prefer a 125 or 200 but I see more 250s advertised. Could end up finding one in the UK and bring it back. Be handy to find one near the ferry that is road registered and ride it on save paying to bring the car/trailer over. Looks a friendly forum full of useful info

Hi. So I bought a doggy old stock Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc some months ago and got it running, bought a few new parts and turned it into a different animal! Here she is: (I have since fitted a smaller trials seat.) I've had so much fun ridding this bike all over the trails around where I live. A big heavy beast like this makes even the most gentle routes technical! HaHa. This technical approach to ridding has really got me thinking about trials ridding. Bit of back ground first. Had trials bike 20 years ago, mainly trail riding in Yorkshire nothing serious. Been on sports bikes since, but with traffic, road conditions, etc, getting too dangerous. Now living in Norfolk, and found a great place for trials riding 8 miles away(Trials park Corton), so decided to get back into it. Now the problem. Which bike? Don't want to spend a fortune straight off so thinking £1500 or so for bike. For that money seem to be looking at about 2005 ish bike. I am an Italian Expat living in Moscow ( Russia ) and here I found ( From the cheapest to dearest ) the following NEW bikes: 1. Vertigo Nitro 300 - MY 2023 2.Vertigo Nitro 300 - MY 2024 3. Hi all, me is 73 years old and have just brought me self a 175 Yammy with the Sammy Millar hi-boy frame , bit of a barn find not seen the light of day for 16 to 18 years The gentleman put a drop of fuel in her and she came to life on the 3rd kick!! I did ride in the SSDT in 1976 and got a silver award , one of my friends was Arnie Taylor from Mansfield he came up to Scotland with a couple of nice lads Bill & Douggie, But sad to say I lost contact with them. Hello everyone. I'm 62 and just purchased my first trial's bike. I've been informed that there are three types produced in 1988. Again it's a Beta tr34 260. I found numbers stamped on the left side behind the yoke. Beta B 3 This winter I plan a rebuild. Minor one. She starts cold on second kick. Hot on the first. If I can find parts I believe I need a crank seal ( smoker ) and a top end. However far I get I would like it to be correct. Clear coat or paint? Just to mention one of a hundred questions I have. Hi all, I am hoping for a bit of advice or thoughts on this one. I am new to trials and have bought a Rev 3 from a dealers, as I thought this would be a safer bet for a new rider. First bike I bought I found the frame around the tank was cracked so I returned the bike and it was exchanged for a different bike, meant to be an 06 but it may actually be an 05. Within 10 mins of riding the bike for a second time it starting making a nasty whining noise so I went to limp the bike back to the van to take a look and it stopped and locked solid, kick start won't budge. Hi all. Well, at the age of 57 I finally get the opportunity to have a bash in the world of trials! (I think). Always been fascinated by the sport and love everything to do with off-road. I’ve been a road rider for 40 years and have only limited off-road experience with 2 sessions at Mick Extances enduro school in Wales and one go at ‘Trials Day’ which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve always wanted a trials bike but could never really decide how to make it work for me. I found the site a few days ago and have been enjoying reading through the posts. I rode my first trials in the early 1970s on my Suzuki TS185R (which also served for my first MX) and I bought a new 325 Sherpa T (M125? The new style frame) in 1974. I rode with the NMTA (New Mexico Trials Association) there in Albuquerque for couple of years and was a decent intermediate-level rider. After graduating from Uni and moving off I roadraced for quite a while. About 1999 I picked up a Kawasaki KT250 and started riding AHRMA/Sacramento PITS vintage trials.
