Well with all of the trials bikes prepped and sorted, the latest project to hit the workshop for covid19 project is a 1977 IT 175! Couple of questions ... 1 - both mudguards are good condition but very faded - what’s the best bet to paint ? And does anyone know the colour code ? 2 - long shot but does anyone have an airbox cover and filter cage ? (Or know where I could get them) 3 - piston and barrel look ok but seems low compression ? Was going to put a set of rings in as it’s not blowing past the rings - I can get nos rings - but will 40+ year old rings be brittle ? Better bet some pattern ones ? mid new pattern ones might as well get piston kit…

Theres a huge enduro on this weekend in my neck of the woods down in deepest France. Thought I would pop over and have a look at the 600 odd riders, just wondered if any one knew of any Brits entered that I should look out for... I was riding my DRZ on the road a few years back when I sailed over the bonnet of Mr Sales Reps Speeding Vauxhall, taking his door mirror off with my helmet on the way down the other side. I could just have easily been on my Triumph Daytona and would probably have been killed if I had! The DRZ went over his bonnet, bounced off his windscreen and landed on the road in front of his bumper with little more than a smashed waterpump and a dented down pipe, but since that day the wheels have been out of line. Well done lad !! He beat Knight for the win, even though Knight was not trying as hard as he could, so he would win the championship, a win is a win, and robbed knight of the $50 000 extra for completing the hat trick.. A bit p*ssed off I think, but then again he has won the championship and well done to him too for that !!

I was talking to Ady Smith of Ady Smith KTM off-road schools fame today, about the possibility of organising a two day enduro school at their Eastbourne site in January or February next year. This would be a step up from the more common "try out" or "experience" days, with the emphasis on improving skills rather than just "having a go". Looks like the big BUSINESS "ACU" have scuppered any chance of six days glory "AGAIN", the trials and enduro commitie seem hell bent on profit not results, how many times do we see this . ANY SELECTION should go on preformance , not following stupid criteria.... I feel sorry for Fast Eddie , having met him a few times, he is a top bloke . its alway politics with the ACU jobsworths... The americans seem to have the AMA and they look after everone, why oh why do we have so many federations and factions allways "INFIGHTING".

I got the opertunity yesterday to spend about 10 mins. on a G450X ... OMG!!! Almost better than sex ! I've NEVER experianced any bike ever that could even begin to compare !!!! Glenn

need some help, I will be going to look at and possibly purchase a 2006 wr 250f and need some advice on what to look for on this particular model, are there any particular faults i need to look for? Also does anyone know if it will fit in the back of my renault kangoo? or will I have to take te front wheel off? thanks for your help Spike

I recently got my copy of Enduro Illustrated Photo Album 2008, this is a review of the 2008 WEC and is excellent value. Well worth a read and well worth the money, with some great photo's.
