I have posted on here before about this but just thought I'd see if anyone else can help?! I have checked the oil in the glass sighting level and it looks to be full, although the oil looks quite thick - does anyone know if the thickness of the oil could cause problems with the gears? 1st and 2nd are ok, but 3rd gear is very difficult to get into and sticks. My worry also is that the oil looks very clean, so the former owner might have had a problem with this himself and not told me. Failing the problem being the oil mixture, is there anything else that anyone can suggest? My last option is to dismantle the gearbox altogether and rebuild it (though I am such a novice …

Hello, Does anyone have a decent wiring / electrical diagram for a Beta Techno? The loom on my '97 is a bit worse for wear and am trying to strip it down to the bare minimum. I dont need any lights or horn ect but i do need the cooling fan. The only owners manual I can find online is quite blurry making the small text unreadable. Many thanks!

Having difficulty with the carb on my son's 2014 Beta 80. The float occasionally sticks. I have replaced the needle and this hasn't cured it, as there isn't a separate float valve I think next step is a new carb. Do people just run the standard carb or is there a better one to upgrade to ? Thanks

My lads Rev 50 was due a plug change, I removed the old one NGK B5SH. A quick google indicates it should be a NGK B9ES. My issue is the thread is longer but does fit ok with hitting the piston but it also seems to rev a lot higher on tick over. Were these swapped for any reason or has previous owner just fitted an odd plug? And why would it rev a lot higher on ticker over? Any help or info would be much appreciated.

The bike runs perfectly on low revs but will not high rev it run really lumpy. I've cleaned carb, air filter, I'm losted on what to try next??

Hey guys how do you determine if the spring in your rear shock is appropriate for your weight. In my 94 beta techno still has the stock spring from when it was new and the bike is also over 15 years old and has been ridden for most of its life fairly average till this year as im ridding it at local and national clubman level. I weigh 156 lbs (dont know what that is in stone for you guys over seas) but do i have an appropriate spring or do i need to invest in something different. I have seen vids of my same bike lifting far higher out of the back and front ends than what im actually getting and im doing things appropriately. got any ideas fellas.

hi, just taken my carb off for a clean and noticed theres no plastic pipe coming off the lowest brass overflow outlet (float bowl). is there supposed to be and if so is there a certain length it needs to be? cheers

could anyone please tell me if rear caliper off a 96 techno will fit a 94 model know they are different but will they interchange if i fit the brake hose as well ?

i have just bought a rev3 the Exhaust is 32cm, where as my freinds is only 29cms they are both 2004 and were both bought as 250's did the 270 have a longer Exhaust than the 250?

Hi there, First of all, I am Ross and am from Jersey, Channel Islands. I am looking at buying an old ('97) Techno 250 from a friend on the cheap. I play around on push bikes, so if I enjoy it then I will spend a bit more on a half decent bike. Unfortunately it has a few problems. The main one being it needs a new rear caliper and disc from where my friend went to ride off with a disc lock on. After googling away I can't find anything for these! Is there a web site I can buy one from Other than that and a puncture on the front and generally being a bit tatty it seems a good buy. Started first kick and had plenty of compression and no rattles. Just don't want to buy it…
