  1. most scooter nowdays have thesame calipers on so look at scooter brakes the techno has the same as derbi sender on it wheni went to get rev 3 brakes they dident stock them he got the book out and placed my pad by the pad in the book they was scooter ones
  2. had the same prob turned out to be stator bike would run but only if dident turn throttel also cdi coil pack from jk hirst bout 19 quid u can test the stator go to motoplat web site ittells u there or ring him he tell you what reading you should get think its somat like 450 anthing less its gone
  3. hi i can send pics of beta rev 3 2001 model if thats any good as i have mine striped down at the mo
  4. if you get it rewound you wont have it go any more i would not buy a beta stator cause it will go again as for cdi dont pay 90 pound when you can get one off jk hirst for 23 works the same had mine on for a year now still running great and it has a built in coil so no need to buy a coil for the cdi pack and it fits in the frame same place as the beta one
  5. i know its a pain to bleed brakes i had the same 2 weeks no joy theni took the caliper off the bike and held it up above the master cylinder and hey presto 4 pumps and got pressure had to do this on road bikes as well mate had same prob so went round held it above and it bleed right away try it

    rev3 no spark

hi i have a rev 3 2001 the cdi packed in and lampkins could not get hold of one so i had a spare 94 techno one put it on and that was months ago no probs and the best thing is it does away with the coil pack as its all in one and fits were the other one did and if you go on j k hirst they are only 22 pound what a saving you do have to cut the plug off ur rev but the techno one has spade ends so no probs i did put a post on about it some were hope this helps
  8. try this http://www.easyweld.com/ looks good
  9. postage to steve in spain is about 3 pound and turn around about 10 days but itss a lot better than beta ones when its done had 2 done by steve no probs at all

    Rear Brake

my rear brake lever is catching on my chain when moving any ideas hoe to cure it it dosent seem bent or worn but its driving me mad as i can feel the chain rubbing every link when i ride thanks
  11. i always wear gloves helmet knee and leg gaurds and daianize cant spell it body amour if your falling down after not making that steep hill your going backward and you cant see what your about to hit did this and fell over the bike on the way down brake lever hit chest and broke 2 ribs that waqs before all the gear you never know what will happen and i have to pay the bills cant afford time off work
  12. take you brake to a local bike shop and see if they have one scooter brakes are the same
  13. welcome to betas had and still got 2 a techno and rev 3 both stators went had rewound at motoplat never had any probs since steve at motoplat says its the thin wire they use at beta it breaks at the first turn of the windings his stators are wound with thicker wire and says they are a lot better than betas crap ones the techno one was wound about 3 years ago and i never dry it off we ride in streams so water doesent seem to affect them
  14. it not that hard did one last week first prop bike on stand then drop the brake off then take the wheel out and mudgard next step is to slack the top of the forks off by this i mean the actuall fork tops one is a ajuster for compression just undo them a bit then on the fork clamps there is allen key bolts undo all on one side the fork should now slip out get a bucket undo the top of the fork drain oil then you will need a center punch half way down is a alloy ring on top is a dust seal prize this off with small screwdriver now tap the ring round to undo it has 2 small holes in it put punch in it tap now you should see the seal i just pry them out with a very small screwdriver then put new one over and put old one on top and tap the seals down by using the old one on top you dont damage the new one then screw the alloy ring on dust cap then fill with oil i used 350ml on the right and 375ml on left thats sitting on bike should take no longer than an hour for the 2 good luck
