Just found these. They are pretty cheap and very lightweight. They supposably made there own "prismatic?" cells (not A123s). They have been mentioned once here. It seems they would be a good choice for this application. But i can't find any info on using them this way. Can they be hooked in series? Charging? They don't have any provisions for BMS. They have been out for over a year now seems like someone would have tried them in an ev application by now. Somebody help me out.

Quick question, anyone know what the legality around riding these small Oset's are in parks/commons/pavements around the UK? Don't want to be doing anything we shouldn't be doing so thought I'd check first.

I have a small display stand at a well advertised Trials show (coming up in the next week or so.) No names no pack drill, but it is at Telford. The stand is not selling anything, it is promoting our own Conducted trials for riders aged 4 and above. If there are any other clubs that run conducted routes that would like a mention on the stand, let me know and I will put up a list. I need is the name of the club, your location and the dates of the events. Pete

My daughter likes riding her trials bike more than anything else (although rock climbing comes a close second) she is just getting to the stage where she needs good brakes but being a very small five year old, her little hands can't apply much pressure on the brake lever. I've tried various ways to improve the brakes but have now 'bitten the bullet' and fitted a twin piston hydraulic system. The Clark Skeletal system is designed for mountain bikes and offers impressive adjustments on the lever for both reach and span. It also comes with a 185mm wavy disc and allows even Jess to use just one finger on the brakes. I was pleasantly suprised when it took just 10 minute…

Hi, got the oset out the other day, its been sat in the shed for 6 month and its been really cold here in the UK, tried charging them and the green light comes on to say there done after a few mins, took both batteries out and stuck them on my optimate 4 one by one for around 12 hours each and still nothing, no lights, no click of the relay, nothing, checked all the wiring too. The batteries are 4 year old so they could do with been replaced anyway but just want to make sure there dead and its not something else, so any tests I can do on the batteries with the multimeter ? I've never used it before.

Hi All I have a new 16 36V Oset and im not sure about the batteries... On full charge they last for about 40 minutes to an hour then the light drops from 3 to 2 and the power reduces considerably. My son rode it yesterday at trials practise and thats when we noticed the power drop after 40 minutes although he was riding in the wet mud. The same happened today but he was running mainly on tarmac hence the 60 minutes before drop out. I charged it up fully overnight last night and it seems to have lasted a bit longer, we will have another go tomorrow. Is the sudden drop in power normal...? Nick

Hi, I'm Sergio from Spain. First, thanks for the knowledge and help provided by this forum. Second, sorry for my awful english , hopefully, you can't hear my spanish accent throug the computer... I've two daugthers, 8 and 6 years old, and this christmas, the "Olentzero", our own vasque country santa has carried us an Oset 16-36. This is it waiting for a full grease and adjusting service: It's a second hand one in VGC and miraculously found 20 kilometers from home and with not a crazy price tag. The girls loved it much from the first time, I'm a trail-enduro man and they know all the stuff messing around at home, helmets, gloves, mud and that. The only…

Reading on the oset website it says theres becoming a wide variety of aftermarket parts available and alot of bike parts to suit the oset. Has anyone got any websites that do oset aftermarket parts, or know of any parts that would suit the oset from bikes? I wouldnt mind fitting disc brakes and hydrolic levers onto the 12.5, is this at all possible?

I put this here rather than in the trials gear section due to it aimed more towards oset sized children. I've took the plunge and ordered a 12.5 oset, will take delivery in a week and a half.. But now the hard part in sourcing the kit to protect him. I need to find a trials helmet small enough to fit on my 25 month old son's head. He is quite big for his age I would say, although I've yet to look at his bike helmet size I just want to know what helmets you guys use and the smallest fitting? My local dealer stocks wulf sport, and their smallest size is 54cm.. I think that may be a little too big, is there any smaller sizes such as xxs? As for armour, would you recome…
