Hi all, I recently bought a second hand 2012 24v 16.0 and are struggling to get more than 20 minutes run time, infact the leds in the throttle show "low" after about 5-10 mins. Surely i can expect better than this? So far ive tried: 2 sets of new batteries Checking for excessive drag in the drivetrain (the motor is notchy when spun but i get this is normal?) Checked the balance of the batteries Charged the batteries with a car charger as well as the oset one Any thoughts anyone? Cheers Wayne

He currently uses a bmx style helmet, but after a full face helmet? Can any of you recommended anywhere were I can buy the really small stuff? And can anyone recommend a decent helmet? Many thanks This is him .

I cant find the potentiometer. I've pulled the covers, and the place where the POT should be is empty. Assembly fault, or are they an optional extra now?

Purchased used OSET 16 36v from a dealer in pittsburgh that was virtually brand new, not a scratch on it. From the onset the batteries longevity and strength didn't seem juth ast right. Son has ridden bike (he's 6 and around 50 lbs with potentiometer fully open) probably 8-10 times. Longest ride until batteries ran out was just under an hour mostly tight trials stuff with a few wide open jaunts through the field. On to my problem, he rode bike last week and charged bike till green light and removed charger last week. Sat until yesterday when he went to ride, he turned on key and batteries were dead (one red dot on throttle). I just assumed he left key on so I went …

HI, I'm Travis, got my son, Adler, a 12.5 about 9 months ago. He was 2 yrs 9 months when we got it. We had just removed the training wheels on his 12" bicycle a week or so before the Oset arrived. He is now 3.5 yrs. I have a small bicycle shop in Louisiana, USA. Also have a very small fab shop in back set up for small volume frame building. Right out the box it weighed 51lbs. Immediately changed: -Bars and stem to 31.8 clamp MTB stuff. -Swapped brake cables to teflon coated wires with shorter lined housing. Better Pads. Very shortly swapped the whole front assembly for a cheap Avid one, HUGE improvement. Removed one of the springs from the rear brake to lighten the ac…

Hi new here looking for a bit of advice on a bike for the kids, one is four and one is six they are 41" and 44" tall and both ride pedal bikes, and both started on balance bikes. They currently ride islabikes pedal bikes the lad on the one that has a seat height the same as the 12.5 oset and the girl the bigger one with seat height same as the seat height as the 16 oset He Has his seat about an inch or so higher than stock and is confident standing and flying round and can get on his sisters bike balanced on one foot and would probably ride it given half a chance His sister rides the larger bike but not with as much confidence as him she was more confident on the smal…

Hi,can anybody shed some light on where I should start with my sons 07 24v 16 oset, it dos'nt seem to have the same power as his 12.5. I fitted a new set of batteries and this has made a great difference to the length of time he can ride but the actual power the motor puts out for him getting up climbs etc seems to be lacking. Ive tried disconnecting the limiter but this makes no difference, I'm now thinking, new brushesin the motor or a new motor? Can anybody point me in the right direction or had a similar problem? THANKS

Hi all i have greased the swinging arm bushes on my sons oset and am intending getting a lighter spring for the shock off the oset website to make the rear suspension more suitable for his weight. However Oset dont list softer springs for the forks anyone managed to soften them as i would like to make both front and rear softer.

Snapped our 5th rear fender today! My boy's riding skills have really gone up so he is doing pretty amazing things on the bike now but I have had enough of buying new rear fenders! See this thread(http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/44051-oset-20-mods/), we have even tried modifying it and boiling the plastic to soften it and although it helps a lot it still snaps. Any ideas?

I'm thinking of switching my son's oset 20 to a thumb throttle to avoid whiskey throttle. He's had one incident already and if it keeps happening and he gets hurt, he may not be so keen on riding, which would be terrible. He is familiar with a thumb throttle from his quad. But since no one does this, its probably a bad idea, but I don't understand why?

Had a look through earlier posts and can't see what I'm looking for. As my Oset charger has now stopped working is it ok to individually charge each pack off the bike. I think the batteries are toast anyway, as on both types of charger they only last about 40 mins with steady use. Any recomendations where to buy batteries in the UK as the Oset ones seem expensive?

Hi everyone, we have a Oset 16 24v which my 9 year old girl and my 5 year old boy just love to ride,we have done the lipo conversion to it and makes it lighter and go for longer, My girl is out growing the bike ,but had a go on a friends Oset 20 thats the correct size for her and can ride no problem, she loved it , so looking around the last couple of months have seen the Mecatecno T14,looks a good design and lipos fitted as standard, not much info out there but hear they have good quality parts and well put together, also on the pictures i have seen looks like has real trials tyres, Has anyone got one,had a go on one,or even seen one, would like to hear any views on bo…

Hello, Steve here, use to ride with Hillsborough MCC some time ago, have just bought my daughter a Oset 16, so will be visitng frequently and maybe have a bike for myself in the future. I also have a few questions re the 36v Oset 16 we have. I`ve turned the power right down on the parent control and I was hoping to get this down to walking pace but this doesn`t seem possible should it come down to this speed on the 36v? I`m also aware of the punch from the 36v on pull off, I was wondering if you can run the 36v motor with just 2 batteries at 12v each to reduce the punch? If I decide to go the 24v route is just a case of swapping out the motor and charger? Are the rest …
