I have just bought an Oset 20.0 Eco for my son. I think it is quite strange that Oset doesnt offer any Lithium batteries so now I am looking for a new battery. LiPo seems popular here on the forum but I had a LiFePo4 36v 20Ah on the previous 16.0 that I was very pleased with. Looking at the very skillfull boys in videos like this: makes me wonder; what batteries are those guys using?

We bought the Oset 20.0 a week ago, and I know its for my kids, but I could not help ride it too. So do not get me wrong, I love the bike, I am just trying to make it more adaptable to my kids' riding abilities. The one thing I will do is add a larger brake rotor in the front as I did for the smaller 16.0 OSET -can get larger rotors with the bridge adapter at most mountain bike stores. The bike is so strong, its like a thoroughbred horse, its seems to have a mind of its own that just wants to go fast. Accordingly, a stronger front brake is appropriate to better control it, and to make it easier for my kids to do stoppies, etc.. In terms of power, while riding it at …

HI Has anyone installed a LIPO battery upgrade. There is a company called boost bikes or boost batteries on ebay that are selling them. Does anyone have any knowledge of them, they look perfect for the job. Is it really worth the money?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-Power-Oset-16-36v-Lithium-Ion-Lipo-Battery-Pack-10Ah-1-4-weight-4x-Runtime-/131403473119?

Have just fitted some shimano slx hydraulic brakes to a 2015 16.0R. Well worth the purchase. When your buying try to get a 1000mm left hand lever. This will fit perfect on the back. Shortening the front pipe is then simple and can be done without the need to fully bleed them if your careful. Chain reaction cycles and bike-discount.de are about the cheapest. Also fitted a boost battery lithium battery. Easy to fit with all connectors and 7.2 kg lighter.

I have bought the KTM Freeride - E. I know it's not a trials bike but after seeing my son take his Lipo'd Oset 20 to places a petrol bike can't go I was sold on an e bike. Almost bought the EM5.7 but the lack of dealer support put me off, the KTM has a 3 year warranty on battery and charger and a 2 year warranty on the bike itself plus the backing of the biggest player in dirt bikes. Anyway, my van has a 12v power output and I was thinking I could run an inverter to recharge the bike whilst I have a break - full charge is just over an hour. Realise I am likely to have to run the engine as I do this. On fast charge I need a constant output of at least 13 A and on normal…

Hi See attached pics from the recent strip down of my little ones OSET it was cheap due to being left in the rain being uncared for by its first owner. It worked fine which is a testament to the bikes reliability but it needed a restoration so rather than forking out the $$$ for a new 2015 model daddy hit ebay! Rebuild pics to follow!

Having electrical problems with my lads 12.5 and need some expert advice! Here's the story so far.... The problem is that the drive is very weak and juddery and only a small amount of load on the rear wheel causes it to stall, i.e no torque. My initial thought was the motor brushes. Bike is a 2011 model and has been well used so would make sense. I've had the motor to bits before to do bearings so I set off down the route of checking these. However, I decided to direct wire the motor to the batteries before stripping it - this resulted in the motor spinning up nicely and with loads of torque so I didn't progress the motor strip. I've examined all connections and can't …
