Gas Gas

The exhaust on my bike was very loud, so thought that it was time to check if there was any damage and also a re-pack of the silencer. I found with the help of a user on this site that it was missing O rings between each section. I have now noticed that the mid section is empty, although it does seem to be unusually heavy for its size. Should the mid section be packed? and with what? Your help is much appreciated. Hello. I bought a gas gas txt cadet 80 2011 model for my son. Unfortunately the kick was broken when we picked up the bike. I am struggling to find a new one to buy. anyone know where these can be ordered?

hi just need to rack a few brains if possible. just brought a gasgas txt200 1999 ridden it for the second time and suddenly when you engage a gear with the clutch full depressed the whole bike judders,i have stripped the clutch and found that one of the clutch springs and one of the ali posts one the centre hub is missing but no sign of any debri. does this sound like the cause of the juddering and clutch drag. obvously i need a new centre clutch hub,does anyone know of where i could get one, i do have a part number of mt27832005 but cant seem to find one. thanks in advance rick

hello, I've had my gt16 for nearly 10 years now so i've decided to give it a little restore. My main question is where to get replacement parts from? eg; piston, piston rings, bearings, gaskets, sprockets etc... thanks. Geoff

Don't know exactly what they cost, but one thing i am sure of, they are not built to be serviced That won't stop me though. The whole inner material is steel-wool, and the inner core is wrapped with a sort of braided steel messing(if that is the english word for it?), so next time i just burn the baby clean. What i also did now to be sure. Somebody wants to give a try? Ps:she is now at the welder, as i don't see myself welding this thin steel together.

Anybody know which way up the shock in a 95 JT 250 should be, or does it even matter. I think when I removed it, the blue damping adjuster was at the top of the shock, and the preload adjuster at the bottom. Is this correct. And has anyone rebuilt one of these, ie. drilled and tapped the body of the shock to replace the oil? Thanks in advance, Alan.

Hi to all. I need a 2.0mm clutch plate for my sons 2003 txt50. Gasgas uk have them on back-order from the factory but have no indication of a delivery date ~ try explaining that to a 7 year old! Any help greatly appreciated before I am 'nagged-to-death' :-)

I have eventually, given up on my formula rear caliper and replaced it with a AJP. For some reason you always start the day without back breaks, squeaking its way through the sections, until on your last section of the day they are almost there. No amount of bleeding and tinkering help. R.I.P. you bastid! I like the levers and the clutch though.

Has anyone tried aftermarket reeds in their bike, I had a sherco before my gasgas and fitted a set of aktive reeds, which sharpened up the power. There are quite a few brands out there so I was just wondering if anyone has tried them and what is the feedback. I am also having trouble finding anyone who actually advertises them on a website, any ideas. Cheers [ps do the sherco ones fit a gasgas, just a thought]

I have a 1996 Gas Gas 270cc and lately after evey ride the plug is fouling quite badly, a dry carbon sooty type of fouling and I dont know why. I am running a pre-mix of 80:1 and the fuel/air screw on the carb is 3 full turns out. Any one any ideas? I have attached a pic of what it looks like.

Just doing my seals on an 03 Pro. I have seen a few people with different 'dust seal' rather than just the stock part fitted, the part I'm after is the one with the circular spring that keeps the tension on the dust seal against the slider, hopefully to be more efficient than the stock part that seems to loose its seal after a while Any ideas on what it's from ?

Evenin all. Does anyone know where I can pick up a cheap C spanner (for my rear shock)? I've checked the websites for both Halfords and Machine Mart but they dont seem to stock them. I could have sworn I have seen them somewhere? I can get one off ebay but wanted to get the spring swopped on Sunday and dont fancy waiting. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I thought I'd pass on my experience with modifying my son's 2006 Txt 50 Boy for a left-hand rear brake. The Boy comes with an auto-clutch as well as conventional left-hand manual clutch and right-foot rear brake controls. My son was used to the controls of his OSET which had a left-hand rear brake and no foot brake. And I have a Rekluse auto-clutch on my GG EC300 with a left-hand rear brake (and no foot brake) and I absolutely love the feeling and control, so it was inevitable that I'd mod the Boy similarly.
