I finally removed the muffler bracket on a GG, annealed it to be safe, and bent it to a nice "s" shaped offset, and the tire no longer hits the muffler. For the time being... Replaced the rubbed-off rivets, too. 5/32", I think.

Hi guys, It's time to replace my rear brake pads (brake fluid damage). What brand is best? I really like the feel of the stock Hebo units, but am not sure that my dealer carries them. Hebo? Galfer? Apico? I tried the search function, but couldn't find anything on this topic. Your thoughts? Jeff

Ok, so I rebuilt the rear suspension on my 2000 TXT200. Rear shock had a blown seal and I replaced all of the bearings in the linkage. Where do I start for static sag...1/2 inch and rider sag...2 inches? The knob for adjustment at the bottom is this for rebound? Lastly what would be a good starting/factory setup for it? I checked the static sag using a stand and measured the distance of rear sag and then with the weight of the bike and I have 2 inches of sag. I think this is ok. I'm 160lbs with gear. Thanks Peter

hi all i have a 2002 txt 280 standard for about 3 weeks. Still catching up on maintenance needed, and have attacked the rear suspension tonight and have found and not to my suprise everything dry as a bone!!! I've found an adjustment setting on the bottom of the shock that had been facing the engine and i didn't know it was there until i spun it around!! and i presume that it should face to the rear for adjustment? is this the rebound? My problem is the gold annodized rocker arms!! when i've spun the shock around they have reversed from the original position i.e dog bone to swing arm connectors, does this matter? or is there only one way to install them? Sorry f…

I crashed my 05 125 pro on rocks on the gear shift. A very gentle crash and found my gear lever moving through 180 degrees. I thought the worse and expected to strip teh bike down at vast expense etc. Not true, good news. remove complete clucth (4mmm allen bolt in centre) behind the cluch is a spring and top hat device. The device has a shear pin in it that snaps under strain. Fit new one, end of problem. DO NOT lossen bolt to remove spring jus twiggle it free. new one comes with spring in correct set up. Good luck Graham UK

If it's not a contravention of the site rules, I found a source for a "cyclops"-type LED headlights (as used in my 2008 TXT) for a very reasonable price. The unit is a "Vision" from N2MOTO as listed on Alibaba. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Dirt-bike-Motorcycle-Universal-Vision-LED-Headlight-as-GASGAS-TXT-PRO-280-125-Racing-motorcycle-head/1735717_32311456492.html The unit contains all parts and a light for < $20 (including shipping). I will be using this light on my son's TXT 70, and I'll report on the build quality and operation when it arrives. Thank you. Dale
