There's not much of an indication in the user manual about the fork preload. Is it the 2 holed rings on the fork? In the book, they talk about a special tool. I suppose this is a tool that is made to be inserted in the holes of the top ring?

I read that guys are purchasing the 2013 clutch pack. Is this the whole clutch assembly from 2013 bikes or is it just the "2.1mm intermediate plates" from the special parts catalog? What does the clutch upgrade do? I have a 2012 explorer with 2.5 hrs on it. The clutch seems fine, but shifting is poor. Up or down, any gear, Whether its running or not. It is hard to get into gear.

  3. Does anyone know the correct torque settings for the upper and lower triple clamp bolts? The Owners Manual doesn't seem to specify them?

2015 Explorer. I’ve seen several Explorers that had the rear fender mount areas broken- there the huge handrail is mounted. I take those off anyway, since they get in the way when getting weight wayback. So I designed some bushings that will fill the broken sections and press against good part of the fender. This allows easy firm mounting of fender without grabrail, especially if the parts are broken.

Hi all my ossa 350 has an Amal MK2 2627 carburettor fitted I want to buy a rebuild kit so does anyone have an idea on what jets, needle, And needle setting, and slide I need please,(slide is very worn)

Clinton and his tech Matt did a great job last week in Brantford. My Ossa was running like crap and they did a great job getting things back the way they should be.I was ready to give up on it and buy something else.Sure glad i didn't! it starts 1st kick now and with the setup done on it,it is much more rideable.Even the clutch drag is better now because the idle is set properly.

The 2015 Explorer I recently got was worked on by someone that should not be allowed anywhere near one of these- heck any bike at all. Due to some issues from previous wrong assembly etc, I wanted to pull gearbox. There are very small screws with a 3mm allen. Why so small, I have no idea. They are plenty big for a much larger head. Anyway, one of them had the allen stripped by the person, another the allen wrench broken off. Fortunately, I came across this before and the fix was easy. I found some small mounted stones that I could use with my Foredom dental handpiece. I connected up a vacuum to get away as much grit as I could, and made an opening in the clutch hub…

I recently acquired a Pluma/Plonker that came from a high elevation. I live at about 1,000 ft. elevation above sea level and the bike runs too lean. The bike has a 24mm IRZ carb and I want to keep this carb on the bike. I know finding IRZ jets isn't very easy and I want to limit the number of jets I purchase. Does anyone know what jet sizes and needle clip position this carb came with or should have for a lower elevation? Currently, the carb has a 45 pilot and a 101 main jet. I could guess and get a 50 pilot and a 110 main, but like I said, would be nice to know more specifically without all the trial and error.

Does anyone know the proper frame colour on these. As you can see from photos it obviously been sprayed in the past but there are 2 colours, black and a dark silver. Anyone out there who owns, or knows someone who owns an Ossa Pennine trials. Alan Wright is looking for one to display at Telford in February, so if you have one that you're willing to show or know of someone that might be, then Alan would be keen to hear from you
