I rode a bike with the v Mar linkage plates and I really liked what it did for the handling. I did some internet research and see some csp, future and also h+d's own version of the vmar ones. Has anyone compared all 4? Are they dimensionally the same? Same materials? Then for footpeg holders, are the csp and future trial ones dimensionally the same or does one position the pegs further back? I've got a 2017 300rr. Thanks, Jon

  10. As in title, after last long trial, noticed I had lost a rear sprocket bolt, in its escape it has worn the swinging arm . It has cut a slot in the flat plate area, approx 50% through...... My thinking is to get it aluminium welded and dressed back, anyone had similar?..... what was your action? any idea on what grade aluminium is used on the swinging arm.? thanks (it’s a Montesa 4 ride )

  11. Hi there just wondered if anyone has experienced a problem like I’m having. my 15 repsol starts fine and runs away fine, but after a bit it starts dropping the engine speed on shutting off the throttle and it goes below idle speed and stalls. It will immediately start again and idle away fine, but drive the bike again and it will drop the idle speed and stall. So it’s happy idling from start up, but drops off from shuttling the throttle off. Seems to be once it’s warm. While running it takes full throttle and seems fine, but once shutting off it will stall. I have cleaned the throttle body main venturi butterfly passage and the air passage that is in use…

Hi , Looking to replace the chain on my 4rt as its seen better days and nearly at the end of its adjustment with the allen bolts still in forward holes for snail adjusters in swingarm. It has been running out of adjustment and has worn the chain tensioner block so time for a new block and a new chain, sprockets are good. Can anyone recommend a chain or tell me what link the chain should be ? I have 10/41 gearing so not sure if its stock or not , something tells me it should be 100 link ? Finally , a really schoolboy question and almost embarrassed to ask , can people tell me the best way to check the chain adjustment ? the manual …

Hi all! My first post.......I have a bad fuel injector after drowning the bike in a river crossing. The parts fiche shows the whole fuel injector assembly, not just the injector. The injector looks pretty generic but I can't find a replacement anywhere. The number on the injector is FE26 BBR. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Not strictly a Montesa question, but I’m running a Showa 315 front end in my RTL so I can have some affordable front pads. I noticed when I washed the bike yesterday that the yoke / forks seem to be slightly raked compared to the frame header; i.e. not parallel. So I compared to my sons Scorpa 20 and my 2015 4RT which seems to have parellel forks to yokes. Which I assume mean parellel yokes / fork clamps. Do later Montesa’s have parellel yokes / fork clamps? If so does anyone know from what year 315? jstbwondering if it’s a function of the frame header rather than the fork yokes.

have checked the 2005 threads on the above . my 2008 bike is no different. can you tell me if the 315 master cylinder is still the way to go? i assume my bike is fitted with a standard m/c as it is a mirror of the brake cylinder. its driving me nut's in tight turns with reverse camber as its almost impossible to apply power. just too on and off. many thanks in advance.
