My air box seems to let a fair amount of water in. Nothing crazy in regard to deep water work , just seems to pick it up with pretty general stuff. I can tell when its getting bad by the feel of the bike , when I check , sure enough a puddle of dirty water. Anyone else got this going on , any tips to prevent would be appreciated ? Thanks

I use XLite , I am not the greatest rider but cant fault them . Not much chat from the Manx on here . As a newcomer and only at trials for 2 years , it was very difficult . Cant wait to get back though , loved every minute of it .

Hi I am also on 3 slide , JJJ needle (middle position), 45 pilot , air screw 1.5 turns out. Just fitted the fly wheel weight , recomended by Gary McDonald , feels good. Flushed out fluid in formula clutch , better but not as good as AJP ! I have both bikes here to compare. What did Boyesen reeds do it ? Thanks

I have had my bike a couple of months now. 1st day out it was pinking badly , very badly. After many phone calls and research ( 4 weeks on ) its cured, however I had to buy a new slide and needle to fix the problem. The Formula brakes are great but the clutch operation is not to my liking , the 2011 Raga clutch action is far better (AJP), I am going to replace the Formula clutch master cylinder for an AJP. Other than those niggles I think its a great bike , the power delivery is beautiful and works well in mud and on rocks. I have had Beta Evos and Shercos , both good but I believe this is the better machine. Only time will tell with wear and reliability but I am very happy with my purchase. My dealer is Drysdales in Perth , he has been great in helping me get to the bottom of the problems , to be fair I was his first Gas Gas customer and his first 300 Pro Racing . I think Gas Gas should have sorted the parts out under warranty , they might yet as they know I have been moaning. How are all the other 300 racings doing out there ?

Hi I am fairly new to the sport of trials. After 18 months of cuts and bruises I have taken to wearing some armour , knee and elbow . It has made a huge difference and will not ride without it now. I know the pros would not be seen dead wearing armour but why do so many club riders refuse to wear any , its the club rider that takes most of the damage. I use light weight mountain bike gear , it does not get in the way , it gets a little hot in the warmer weather but its a trade I am happy to live with. What is the general feeling from the old timers of trials ?

Hi Want to let you all know John Lampkin at Beta UK came up trumps ! I am very happy to accept the carbon frame covers and decals he kindly sent me within a day of my complaint. I sent him a short note advising him of the problem , in no way was I looking for a new frame and am perfectly happy with the outcome. Once again John and Beta Uk have excelled. Hi Is anyone else having trouble with the black paint on the 2011 Evo frames ? Mines peeling off all over the place , looks terrible now . I use a pressure washer to clean it but doesnt everyone , bike is less than a year old !

Hi Looking to upgrade clutch , any recomendations ? Basket is old and worn , metal plates look rough , friction plates not too bad I have new springs and Almac mechanisim fitted. Keeps slipping , adjusted it as per instructions on this site , no luck ! Plan is to fit new basket and both sets of plates. What is best options Thanks

Hey Willie Dont forget me ! My Tiger Cub sooked in a screw so its been pulled to bits for the last few weeks. I will get it back this weekend and plan to start using it at some of our club events. I love the look and sound of the old bikes , they go far better than I imagined , even with me on it !!! Watch out the pre65 wobblers

Hi I am 12 stone , my bike is standard . The suspension settings on both forks and rear shock are almost fully out , spring is as it came . The bike feels very soft . I would appreciate any help in this area , what do you guys have yours set to ? Thanks

Hi Just checked my box , exactly the same , 2 conectors blue with corrosion. My bike started to miss intermitently during the trial on Sunday, we had heavy rain and burns , cut out a couple of times too. Bad starting problems plagued me last couple of weeks. I have sorted problem , seems to be starting and running fine ! Thanks for posting , sorted my problems out , this is what this forum is all about ! Thanks

Hi Can anyone advise starting technique for the 4T , hot or cold sometimes she just will not start. Compression is strong < I sometimes feel the de-compressor is not working properly. New Iridium plug fitted , carb set as per Lampkins instruction , ticks over fine runs great! Any advice or help appreciated Thanks

Hi Check with Beta UK web site , they have a carb mod listed in the technical menu My 290 would not lift properly at the bpttom end , I was advised to change the pilot jet , it made all the difference but will have to change back for the colder weather , the guys at Beta are very helpful , give them a call.
