hi yes i will take a photo and post it ill count the teeth the sprockets are in good condtion but i have to put it in 3thd before i get any grunt my 199A pops wheelis in 2nd think the gearing should be the same as the 199A 39T rear 11T front

hi well thats easy none at the moment they do get started up weekly. i think when i do start riding it will be the 199A the only reason ive not been riding is because im only back on the road next year the wife drives but shes just had a heart op she dosant mind me puting the bike on the back so im going to try and do some riding in the next month are to. i dont take the sport seriusly i just do it for fun just love the bultacos i did have a really nice gas gas pro 250 but i sold it i do like all trials bikes.

this bike as a few mods on it like the wheels are jap wheels not sure what bike there of but the brakes are loads beter than the other bultacos i have the rear wheel has got the brake hub on the R/H side with rod and pedel. the swing arm as been moded to suit been done really nice the headsteady as been changed to a much stronger 1 i like the 199A beter than the 199B i think the gearing is diffrant on the 199B to the 199A i havant check it since buying it. the tank is plastic and has been painted i thought it would have bubbeld but ive had it since last year so who ever did the paint job did it good. i need to find out what sprocket to get for the rear wheel its a renthal but theres all kinds off renthal sprockets to fit diffrant bikes so untill i take it off i wont know think its about 6 counter sunk allen bolts.

hi no ive not had chance with 1 thing and anougther hopfully this year the throttel cabel was like that when i bougt it i will get round to routing it proper.

hi all just finaley found out how to put photos on hear so i thought id share my photo. and my 199A

hi all on the 199A swing arm exhaust side how much gap between the wheel and the swing arm and exhaust should there be? mine seems pritty close tho it dosant rub on anything is this normal for the 199As? 1 thing i did do yesterday was 2 undo the middel section off the exhaust and put the spacer inbetween the brackets to push the exhaust over it was my fault i put the spacer on the wrong side been meaning to do it some time ago anyway thats all sorted know. the rear wheel is brand new bought new old stock from bultaco ages ago and had the hub relined and S/S spokes.

ok mate ill have a play about with it tomorrow how much gap should there be on the exhaust side? ive moved the exhaust over the spacer on the middel section was on the wrong side so ive sorted that so theres more space between rear wheel and exhaust i have the alloy spacer on the rear wheel from bultaco uk so thats ok. i know there should be more space on the kickstart side for the chain gard i dont have a chain gard on it anyway yet ill have to buy 1 if i deside to put 1 on anyway ill let you know how i get on cheers.

hi i had a mikuni on my 199A ran ok but couldnt set it up proper so i got shout and got a bing had no problems since. my 198b as an amal and runs fine with it.

hi guys ive had a problem with my chain cams they should be ajusted the same on both sides but there not the right 1 is set diffrant 2 the left side. the chain seems ok with about half inch play but theres something not right. there still is abit of paint in the holes where the spindel gose from when i had them painted. as anybody any ideas?

hi all i have a headlight for my 199B but it dosant have the rubber straps to hold it on dose anybody know where i can buy 2 from? they have a square on 1 end wich gose throgth a hole.

hello digger yes that would be great to see. you shouldnt have any troubel in geting a mushroom and ball. ive just put a new air box on my 198B yesterday.

there hard to find over hear not many for sale. oh well looks like ill be keeping my bultaco.

HI GUYS im new 2 the SWM i have the bultacos. but i was thinking off geting a 1978 SWM the red and white 1 could you tell me was that model any good? and is the a big diffrance to the later yellow jumbo model?

hi guys ive just bought a alloy tank im going to have it respayed what is the corect coluor for the tank? also whats the corect decals for the alloy tank for the 199A

hi pigbog yes on the top i havant had chance to take the seat off. and have a look yet i need to drill all the holes out to fit it there is groovs on top where i think it needs drilling. but im not being to quick to drill holes untill i know its in the corect place. the side panel holes also need drilling the 1 i bought was from bultaco uk i bought all the new rubbers to. altho the old onces dont look to bad. the old box dosant look to bad its been patched up with plastic looks like a good job but think its got a crack on top.

hi woody ive had problems with the mudgards to for my 199A i bought a pair off bultaco uk the front 1 was the corect blue but the rear was a pale blue lucky i had a newish 1 in the loft cleaned up ok. but ive noticed that 1 or 2 other places are selling these pale blue ones dont know if somthing whent wrong with the colour but i dont like it not my cup of tea.

hi scot i dont know to much about this but they do have to be cut open the silencer.and the middel part get repack all my bultacos have had it done. think bultaco uk can have it done for you it was £50 last time i ask. from what ive read in the passed it dose help. aslong as evrrything else is set up as it should be like carb timing points. sure the guys will addvice you. cheers bondy.

hi steve yes i do have a 198b think there was only 270 198bs ever built are there about. there is 3 leters are numbers cant remeber with out looking near the gear filler plug on my 198b havant seen this on any other bultaco before,

hi scot i emailed bultaco uk gave them my engin and frame numbers and they sent me a letter for each bike saying what make and model and year they are. if you go on face book theres more photos off my other bikes.
