  1. We have just got some fork oil seals and dust seals from SKF for the Paioli forks, not had chance to test them yet, but they are claiming 20% less friction compared to standard, and if you are wanting to change your dust seals its a cheap alternative. The kit only comes with 1 oil seal and 1 dust seal, so you will need 2 kits do a set of forks. They are £27 for the kit, compared to £24.98 for an original dust seal. http://www.splatshop.co.uk/skf-fork-oil-dust-seal-kit-paioli-38mm-forks.html Let me know what you think, we have been trying for ages to source some cheaper dust seals. Hopefully these are cheaper and better. Cheers, Tim
  2. We have shipped parts over to customers in South Korea before, you can check out our website here: www.splatshop.co.uk
  3. For anyone that is trying to find these AJP/150.00.396C seal kits, we have just had a delivery today from Sherco. They are branded up with J.Juan and AJP, so it looks like stuff is finally arriving. As expected they have gone up in price, you can find them here though: http://www.splatshop.co.uk/sherco-rear-brake-master-cylinder-seal-kit.html Tony, we also found that the Beta ones fit, but then the UK importer soon ran out of stock, I assume they are out of stock at the factory as we had them on backorder for a few weeks now.

    Setting Sag ?

Hi the Sag wants to be set at around 80 to 90mm with your weight on the bike. I've been running about 83mm of sag on my own bike. There is no perfect amount so you want set it how you like it, as a guide the less sag you run on the back the twichy the bike will become and the more sag you run the more your bike will stay in a straight line, the reason for this is it changes your steering angle. Oh and make sure you haven't got loads of play in your linkage, take you first measurement with the bike on a stand so the back wheel is off the floor, measure from the axle straight up to the rear mudguard (put some tape on your mudguard so you measure to the same place) and finally get someone to measure the same distance with you on the bike. Your position on the bike makes a big difference to the amount of sag so try to stand as you would normally, take a few reading and average them out. You want to have around 20 to 25mm of sag without you on the bike so the suspension doesn't top out to harshly, if you've got no static sag you need a stiffer spring and less preload. Hope this helps Chris
  5. Looking good Alan, we'll have a look in the TMX for it.
  6. To be honest we have never had a Wolf one in the shop to try on so I can't help you with that, the Nau helmets tend to be tight fitting from new but the padding seams to form to the shape of your head after a few times out then they are a nice comfy fit. The best thing to do would be to try one, if nobody has one locally we can send you a helmet through the post and if it doesn't fit you can return it for a refund.
  7. The Nau and Jitsie helmets are available in XS see here http://www.splatshop.co.uk/nau-overkill-trials-helmets.html http://www.splatshop.co.uk/jitsie-bolt-riding-helmet.html Or we have this junior size medium helmet but it might be a bit to small: http://www.splatshop.co.uk/hebo-zone-carbon-junior-m.html
  8. As long as all the oil and coolant has been removed you should be fine using this company http://www.interparcel.com/

    Engine Gaurd ?

Hi there, I think this is the guard you are after Sherco engine splash guard
  10. I don't think that carb trumpet will help you as it makes the outer diameter much larger and your rubber manifold won't fit it. To me it sounds like you might have the wrong rubber inlet manifold on, there are two versions a short one for the 99 to 2005 bike and a longer one for the 06 to 09 bikes you can see them both here: Carb to Airbox rubber inlet manifold Hope this helps Chris
  11. Yes they will fit the 2012 bikes.
  12. We managed to get hold of these Stiffer springs for the Olle rear Shock They are 81N/mm (8.3 Kg/mm) so would be suitiable for riders over 14 stone (90Kg)
  13. The 2011 Sherco came with a restrictor in the fuel inlet boss on the VHST carburettor, it was just a small piece of aluminium pressed in place with a 2.5mm hole through the middle.
  14. There is no restricter in the 2012 model, so this isn't your problem. To be honest it sounds to me like you have just gone a little to far with leaning the bike off and you need to try richening it up a bit. Other things it might be are a blocked breather or the one way valve, it might be worth cleaning the tank and fuel pump.
  15. Unfortunately last night, Wednesday the 16th of November, or in the early hours of this morning, Thurs 17th Nov Splatshop was broken into. 2 Sherco trials bikes were taken from our premises, a 2007 Sherco 290 with 2008 plastics and stickers. (Frame no: VNBS129TR6A018036) and a 2011 Sherco 290 (Frame no: VNBS129TR9A023409). The 2011 has white domino grips and a Red number board with number 184, it look pretty immaculate as we had just got it ready for sale. (sorry no pictures of the 2011). If any one has anyone has any information regarding this incident which, you may think we would find useful, please get in touch. Call on 01246 453336 or email us at sales@splatshop.co.uk. Or if you would like to speak directly with the police Call PC 2888 Wilkinson on 0345 123 33 33. Incident No: 98-17/11/2011 Email: christopher.wilkinson.2888@Derbyshire.PNN.Police.uk Regards Chris Pearson Tel: 01246 453336 Web: http://www.SplatShop.co.uk/
  16. Hi Some Sherco came with a 200 float valve this would cause the problem you are experiencing, so check to make sure you have a 250 or even a 270 (if you like going flat out a lot) float valve in your carb. You can purchase a dellorto float needle valve here. Other things to check are, make sure the breather pipe is clear and nothing is causing it to block. Hope this helps. Chris
  17. We've just got some of the Steering head bearings in too.
  18. The new Domino grips measure the same as the Renthals when fitted, so this should no longer be a problem. The older Domino grips were a little thicker but I really liked this once I got used to it as offered a little more cushioning. I've never really had any problems with arm pump so it didn't cause me a problem but I guess it probably depend on the size of your hands.
  19. The Renthal grips are available open ended to save you messing about.
  20. You cannot change the float needle valve jet size on the PWK as it is machined in to the casting of the carburettor. I think you need to try a 120 main or if that doesn't help then maybe try a washer under the needle.
  21. Hi We sell the GasGas linkage bearings here, they are HN1516 but I hope you'll find our prices very reasonable. Regards Chris
  22. The Domino grips are probably the toughest on the market, they have a soft outer so they are nice on the hands and the inner is made of a much harder compound so they don't get damaged as easy and even when they do they stay stuck on the bars. They are more expensive than the Renthals but they do last longer so they may work out cheaper in the long run. Also do you know Renthal grips come in 3 different compounds, soft, medium and hard, most people use the medium. If you hands can take it the hard compound should take a bit more abuse. Hope this helps. Chris
  23. The 2012 Sherco has the Keihin PWK fitted so it's not to do with the float needle valve. dcole5 sorry we haven't tried the bike at high altitude but from passed experience you usually use a smaller main and a slightly larger pilot but possibly you have gone to small on the main jet.
  24. Hi Please have a read through this, I think it will help. https://www.splatshop.co.uk/2010-2011-sherco-preparation Usually they tend to run lean though so you may find that it is your head spacer causing the bike to run rich and you may have to lean the mixture off, your pilot jet is a bit bigger than standard as they originally came with a S33, check to see if yours has a S or a U type Jet as if it is a U36 that sounds about right, see here for more details: http://www.splatshop.co.uk/dellorto-vhst-pilot-jets.html
  25. Hey, We have never been able to get hold of the older style with the metal gear, they have been replaced by these 2 newer shafts: Sherco Water Pump Shaft 1999 - 2000 Sherco Water Pump Shaft 2001 on The old one (part: M025) overall length is 42.75mm, the threaded section is 12mm The newer (part: M363) overall length is 43.95mm, the threaded section is 9.65mm These have a lug to fit the new Plastic Pinon Gear Cheers Tim Pearson www.splatshop.co.uk
