  2. After owning an 02, that leaked all the time, in the past,. My 06 has never had any problems with the petcock. And I removed it, just the other day (to check the filter) and there was no gasket. I personally do not switch off the petcock unless I

  5. I only put a new tail on my 06 Sherco 2 weeks ago, but I dropped her today and cracked one side. Not too big, but enough to annoy the heck out of me I know it's probably going to be "no"...but does anyone know how too glue or weld up a Sherco tail? Best of balance. Neo
  6. I took out the Mikuni out of an 02 Rev3 last night and compared it against my Dellorto-PHBL26BS and Keihin-PWK28. The Mikuni was physically bigger than either carb in every way. So why can
  7. Just a quick update guys. Addict.....turns out you were spot on....many thanks for leading me to the solution. It's odd. but the old shut off needle was not marked in any way. But a new one proved the point Copemech. I found one big disadvantag to doing this. With a leaking shut off needle and the bowl vent tube set higher than the float bowl. Petrol can rise up and poor stright into the engine and filter box. I lost 3 tanks of petrol before I finally worked out what the hell was happening to all my fuel Thanks guys. I learnt a lot with this one Best of balance. Neo

Hi oke boy This may sound odd. But in the past I rode a 290 for almost 2 years. During that time I was constantly on TC (and TA) asking this very same question. Consequently I
  9. No ideas anyone?? Best of balance. Neo
  10. I ended up adjusting the mixture screw, just half a turn, and she reved out fine after that. But I'm getting the odd... drip,drip,drip... for the overflow under the bowl. just evey now and then. So I've checked the float height and even adjusted it for a lower fuel level. And I made sure the PWK is as upright as possible, but I'm still getting that drip,drip,drip.. Anyone have any ideas why?? Best of balance. Neo

  16. About 5 to 10 degrees....not that cold really. Forgot to check for water. ... I was rushing because I was working in the cold!! But I think this is unlikely......I very rarely ride in the wet and the bike never gets damp in my garage.
  17. Ok, Cleaned the carb out again and changed the plug again. With warm staring the problem is almost gone now. But cold starting is still a pig. (6 to 8 kicks) Any tips on cold starting?? Best of balance. Neo

For future referance...Does anyone know which V FORCE REEDS you use on a 06 Sherco 250? Best of balance. Neo
  19. This is driving me nuts now......it's getting quite bad again.....especially cold. I can't see it only being the choke jet passage. Because it affected the bike warm too. I
  20. Sorry copemech, I've been away on a business trip and didn't fit the #36 Pilot until Friday last, at night. So come Saturday morning she started OK (2nd kick) from stone cold. And Riding
  21. Hmmm
  22. Thanks copemech, I think you just saved me a bucket of work this (wet and windy) weekend. As you know, I had a 290. But I really love the 250. As I'm a lightwieght too. Best of balance. Neo
  23. Hi copemech, Ok I'll give that a go. And if this impoves things......I guess you think I should still stick with the Dellorto? Best of balance. Neo
  24. Hi copemech, I havn't taken the Dellorto apart (no need) so I guess it's just standard Aussie jetting. I've tried 95 and 98 octane...but little diffrence between the two. Although no smoke with the 98. And little-to-no smoke with 95. What do you think? Best of balance. Neo
  25. Hi All, I have an 06 Sherco 250
