Yuk!!!
Use Octane 95+ and 80:1 fully synthetic (I use Shell Advance). And save yourself an exhaust de-coke in a years or so’s time.

Well gents, this information has been awesome. Especially your post Markymark.
I tried pushing the bike to the stop and got my daughter to do the same. Sure makes a big difference riding like that.
Only thing is it takes almost a 2/3 turn to get the throttle open that far. And it

Sorry but I think the Beta 80 has a poorly constructed frame. Unlike it

Hi all,
My 12 year old daughter rides a great little bike. An 02 Rookie 70 (80 to some).

Sorry Howard,
I've confused things a bit.
I was just commending you on the fact, you remembered that I had moved the needle clip.
Many thanks again.

Thanks Copemech,
That information put me right on track. I had already drilled out the bowl vent tube, on the right side. Because I read that there was little to no clearance in previous post. But I put two long tubes down the back of the engine, to the delta link. The one coming for the bowl vent must have not been breathing properly. So I

Hi all,
I have a question for all you Keihin PWK Professionals.
I fitted a PWK28 to my 02 Sherco 290 a few months back. I selected the setup based on what I read on these forum pages. And after some messing around I had it purring like a kitten and as controllable as a guide dog

Which countries don't have "Anti Fun and Anti Bloke laws"....I'd consider emigrating to one of them.
Because by the sound of it, in Australia, it simular to the UK ....it must be something to do with the British Empire.

Just for future reference.
Can you tell at glance (or close inspection) if a 3.2 has had a hot start mod fitted?
If so, how??

I Have the same bike myself.
1. Change the plug.
No change:-
2. Rev it up high for a few seconds.
No change:-
3. Buy a Dellorto Carb kit (that covers the PHBL26). Get the Carb out. Strip it down and clean it ALL out with compressed air. Replace all the gaskets and o-rings you can identify. Handle the float and float needle with care. Do not bend the metal alignment stops on the float.
If the Carb is currently oily/dirty outside you may also be having problems with the float needle. But try the above first, as it's just going to have to be a process of elimination.

Hi Gents,
I just got word that the "super clutch" is a special mod done by the Scorpa Australian importers. And it not like the standard clutch at all. Well blow me down
-
Hi all,
I had a ride on a brand new Scorpa SY175F last weekend. Brilliant bike, in many respects. But one thing I really did notice was the way the clutch had an unusual movement to it.
When pulling the clutch in, or letting it out, the movement felt dampened (particularly on letting it out). Now my curiosity has got the better of me and I

Hi Gents,
Does anyone know the best way to make the clutch on my 02 290 a bit lighter to pull in?

Hi Gents,
Here's my update.
In summary:-
Retarding the ignition
Running on 92 Unleaded
Slow action throttle
9 tooth Sprocket
Keep slipping that clutch
Has made me feel like a new rider! - one that's in control!!
Many thanks for everyone
-
That's fine, I don't mind if I have to pay someone to do this.
Many thanks.
