i done scotland and 4 day french trial over 600km in 90deg heat 80:1 ipone
no trouble using unleaded and no knocking thats probably a couple of years trialling mileage for some
i have sott and oakley ,i prefer scott as the clip on mask is larger so if following another rider they give a little more protection from flicked up stones etc
you will want to ride s3 its plenty tough with long dusty rides in between sections you need to be road legal too . acu will sort out licence and risk insurance
i agree,remove fender and remove filter, tape airbox and wash. you check filter anyway so your just doing it in a different order ,plus you wont have to mop out water!
