    1977 Ty 125

I used to have one, they never did have much power. The barrell and piston from a TY175 fit sraight onto it, everything else is the same, except I think for the tailpipe which was much bigger.
  2. You can buy air filter cleaning kits which consist of one big bucket type container, which you fill with cleaner, plus a smaller container you fill with oil. The cleaner and the oil come with the kit as does a wire mesh which goes in the bottom of the cleaner container to stop the filter resting in dirt washed out of the filter. Once you've washed your filter in the cleaner you wash it out in water, leave it to dry then immerse it it the oil, squeeze most of the oil out then put it in your bike. The one I've got (silkoline) cost about
  3. Piston needs lubricating? Does that mean there was no oil in the petrol?
  4. I'm assuming the 350 is the same as the 250 mono. The tool was thick sheet metal with a spanner on one end which fitted, I think, the spark plug. On the other end was a short piece of a large allen key which was used to take off the front wheel, it fitted into a socket in the axle. As far as I can remember it was a 10mm allen key, but I wouldn't bet on it, I sold my last mono ten years ago.
  5. I've got an 06 sy250, the tank took a lot of abuse with only scratches on it, this included banging it off rocks. However i once left it leaning against a tree, it fell lightly against said tree putting a 4 inch crack across the tank. I've since found two other people who have had this happen to them. I ordered a new tank,
  6. I put a Keihin on my 2000 315, it doesn't knock when you open the throttle fast and has more top end.
  7. I like the look of the arc levers, I might try them, thanks.
  8. I have difficulty adjusting the clutch lever on my 2000 Mont (and on other bikes i've owned). The problem is i've got small hands hence the lever is closer to the bars than would normally be the case, this results in the clutch dragging. One option I've been thinking of is fitting a new master cylinder with a bigger piston, this would presumably give more movement at the slave for less movement at the master cylinder. Has anyone any thoughts on this?
