Plonker of the week award goes too..................
YOU!!
They WILL restrict the flow when clogged
Have another read of my first post and you will see that the reason for fitting one in the first place is to avoid cr*p in the carb.
M.C If you have nothing constructive to say, don't bother eh.

It's probably out of his oven!!!!

They will restrict the flow when the bits from the tank clog it up, No??
-
Hi all, have any of you used fuel filters, (in line ones). The reason i ask is because i have just emptied my tank (duff fuel), and noticed loads of little "bits" at the botttom of the tank. I'm sure this won't do the carb much good, but am worried in case the fuel filter may restrict the flow. Any ideas?

Good man , you won't regret it!!
They are fantastic bikes in my (undoubtedly biased) opinion!!
I recently got an 03, and feel that it is much better than my old one (99)
-
Not sure about ajp, but the jap master cylinders have the bore size stamped on them. If the bore size of the master cylinder is the same for both bikes, it will work. If there are no bore sizes, try it out for size.
-
Yeah, keep them away from wheel bearings and suspension linkages and they are ok. they seem to get to the places a hose can't. And they do p*+S you off when they casually blow your stickers clean off the plastics.
-
Totally agree john, I have only been back into trials for about a year, and although i may know the faces in the club, i couldn't put names to the majority of them, and lets face it ,it's not that much hassle to buy three numbers and stick them to the front of your bike!!
-
Go for the jitsie kevlar fork guards, they are thick and the quality is great.
The carb, reeeds and straight tube sound like a good idea, but do you really need the rest. Why not save yourself some money and just replace the levers, bars, chain and sprockets when the originals wear out/ break!
-
Unfortunately ,i live at the other end of the country.
I'll give them a phone when my credit card comes through!
Cheers anyway!!
-
Thanks for that, i will!
Any idea how much they are??
-
Itake it that this was aken last year, god, it lashed down for most of the week!!
I hope that you have all got (good) waterproofs
-
Since we're not allowed to talk about parallels, It will have to be John Lampkin .
Saying that ,my mate got a new 2004 250 for

Hi all, does anyone remember, or know where i could get an anodised (preferebly) spacer to fit the front wheel of my montesa, replacing the speedo drive gubbins. I am sure i've heard that they are available somewhere, but can't remember where (old age?)
-
Looks real good Ian!
I 'm just wondering what happened to the frame polishing, or was it too much of a nightmare.
Are you planning doing any BAMCC trials on it this year??
-
STICK IT IN SCOT-ADS, AND BUY A NEW ONE, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!
-
I wouldn't bother importing a pipe, like ishy says, customs will bill you import duty. I have had this unpleasant experience before with road bike bits, and they hammered me!!I got one last year from sandifords for about
-
And that the piston in the caliper, and the brake pad pins aren't corroded or caked in cr*p. A toothbrush and brake cleaner brings them up well!!( the pistons, that is)
-
What does "WOFTAM" stand for, or have i missed something??
-
I've just done the same thing, using a hairdryer helps it to stick!!
-
Yea nice bike,
I just can't understand how someone could buy a brand new bike and keep it in thier shed for 20 odd years. Bikes are for riding not collecting.
Maybe someone could explain the appeal, i just don't get it!!
-
He's maybe going for the "Pre-65" look!!,
Now he just needs a belstaff and flat cap!!
-
No, no if it was, Spearmint rhino would be closed down by the Health and safety police !!(heaven forbid)
Got my membership form today btw, cheers for that. Have B.A.M.C.C got thier own website for the dates?
-
I run my mont at 70:1 using an old vet'.s syringe to measure the oil out exactly. It fits a treat in the top of the two stroke container, and saves you getting oily paws. (oil is carcinogenic)

My local bike shop has a pair of sidi trials boots in stock, they were ordered for some guy who they didn't fit. They have sat on the shelf for a couple of months, i reckon you would get a deal on them, i'm not sure the size, possibly 8 or 9. They are red. If your interested, then reply with size requirements and i'll find out for you and give you their phone No.
