  1. Metisse Yes, it seems to be getting harder to get a ride in France now without travelling a long way. Talking to the guys at La Roche they were amazed the club I’m a member of in the UK runs 11 trials a year.
  2. Metisse Did you ride la Roche en Brenil last week?
  3. Thanks Lee, B40 doesn’t take PM’s
  4. Would you mind letting me have details of them please?

Steve's a cracking bloke - let me know if you can't get hold of him, I know where to find him!

Woody Can't help with the porting question, I'm a bit technically inept; have you tried Steve Sell for the parts? Mick
  7. From the front forks and tank it looks like being a Mk1, though as you say many of the parts are not original. The good news is if your pockets are deep enough most parts are readily available, try Steve Sell Steve Sell <steve@marlimar-uk.wanadoo.co.uk> or Dave Renham at Inmotion. Good luck with restoring it.
  8. Michelin X11 fitted today; new tube and rim tape, happy
  9. OTF Some trials (not many I grant you), involve a bit of road work, so a strictly legal bike is a must for me. I've also been known to ride to and from events on it...
  10. Thanks Woody, that's clarified things
  11. Apparently not road legal
  12. I have trawled the archive, but not found quite what I need. I need to replace the tubed tyres on my Ossa MAR, but need something properly road legal. From reading the other threads it seems like Michelin are the only option, though not their radial. I've looked on the Michelin website though they don't list this one, so which should I be buying? Ta
  13. Apologies if this has done the rounds already, but some great trials footage on here: http://www.yfaonline.com/assetDetails.cfm?film=4540&keyword=police&fromSearchValue=fromKeyword&start=31 Mick
  14. Thanks Metisse Yes, it is the trial in Frqnce I'm interested in. Having not ridden for a few years I was going to go for the randonneur or Criterium. Accommodation isn't a problem as I have a cottage about 20kms from there.
  15. I'm toying with doing this trial in a few weeks - Notre club a le plaisir de vous inviter au 10e Trial de La Roche-en-Brenil,
  16. God yes, top bloke, did some serious drinking with him (and a few others) at the SSTC camping weekends at Frensham... Mick
  17. No, bottled it... Going to go and watch thought to see wht it's all about

Does anyone (Woody!) know of a bolt on replacement rest for the MAR? I don't want to chop my frame but am tiring of the originals Ta
  19. I believe they're now included as part of the test to crack down on people that illegal fonts and use the screw heads to make make their plates look 'special' I think it's just so they can read them with the ANPR cameras to ensure we all pay our taxes...
  20. I've found Honda parts easier to get here than in Japan - my son lives out there, is a keen biker and has a friend who runs his own bike shop but he couldn't find me any TLR parts
  21. Does anyone on here have any experience to share or advice to give on long distance trials? I recently bought a Beta Alp 200 and fancy trying the Lands End - entries close next week...
  22. Back in the 70's Dunlop safety wellies were the norm - only the really good (or wealthy) riders had leather boots
  23. Try Will Brown - www.willbrown.co.uk - Geoff is an Alton Club member and Will can put you in touch with him. Mike
  24. Ooh, probably very unsafe then, best you sell it to me to keep you out of danger... Mike

I don't work there any more - resigned and am on 12 months garden leave...
