HI, i have never had a problem starting my gas gas machines.one thing you need to be spot on is the plug gap.i set mine at 0.6 or 24 thou.also check your float height.i set mine up a little rich and find this helps.

HI, i find this subject quite amusing.the montesa cota machines were manufactured in spain.the montesa 314/3156R has an italian frame,japanese engine and forks,and is assembled in spain.its only been a good machine because of the amzing commitment and ablity of my no 1 trails rider of all time dougie lampkin!.these machines are badged and sold in japan as RTL,S.dougies bike sports H.R.C stickers,fujigas,s works RTL does not so when is a cota a cota!.

HI, get back to subject please!!!.i rode scotland last year on my 250 gasser,never missed a beat all week.the parts i used were as follows,3 rear tyres,1 chain,2 air filters,1 rear set of pads,i also changed the gearbox oil twice.whlist we are on about scotland one thing i forgot to mention was the superb support provided free of charge by gas gas uk.al the spaner and kev were superb,two realy nice guys as well as superb mechanics.yes if i get a ride up scotland in 04 i will have a new 250 gasser,superb machine.

HI,i see richard tipmerley is out on a 280 gas gas.believe me this is one of the most under estimated riders in british trials!.i remember observing at schoolboy trials when he won the A class championship.i think we could be seeing more of this kid!.is he sponsored on the gas gas?,if not he deserves it.

HI, i would like to see any of you boys out their do as good a job as crosswaite,he was superb!.loads of knowledge and also getting the crowd behind the riders.why do so many people moan!,it was a brilliant night to see the fantastic world champion doug lampkin win.crosser is one of the real characters of the british trials scene so d,ont knock him.i was well impressed with the two scoring girls!!!!!!,who are they?.they certainley looked the part in their one piece suits and also joined in by getting the crowd wound up in more ways than one!.i was quite hot on the night!.

HI, one thing i forgot to add about these oversize cams is that you can also make your bike wheelbase a little longer.if you look closley at adam raga,s works gas gas, he also has some home made oversize cam adjusters fitted,i spotted these at sheffield on saturday.apparentley it helps with balance and makes the bike more stable.

HI, any body thinking of doing the scottish six days should get one of these exhaust gaurds fitted.no end of people burnt holes in their waterproof riding pants last year.one guy ended up with a mega blister from being scolded by the water boiling on his leg!,not a pretty site.little bits of tips like this up scottland are worth thier wieght in gold.also fitting a pair of their over size cams is worth it then you are not messing with the chain as i was when i run out of adjustment.make scottland as easy as you can.

HI, maybe 5 trials old but where did it come from?.contact gas gas uk and they will tell you which dealer it was from new?.i have just had a new machine from my dealer,!!!te brothers from dar!!!ton.no problems at all,handed over to my a! the spanner.buy your machines from a reputable dealer.with the dealer i deal with any problems i just ask,if they cannot sort it just speak to gas gas uk.the guy they have in their service department at gas gas uk is one of the nicest guys you will ever deal with,as long as its not an import!.i have loads of new bikes from the above dealer,betas,monts,gas,never had a problem with their service.and before you ask i am not sponsored by them,do not work for them,i have just built up a good relation ship with what i consider a realy good trials shop.

HI, i noticed at the hillsbourgh trial the other week all the gas gas uk supported riders had x-citing jackets and gloves on.is wayne sponsoring gas gas uk?.

any body have any results from the trial.i observed and realy enjoyed the day apart from the very cold weather.

HI, i will by buying a new 300 for this years ssdt as i have had a ride on one and i think it would be the ideal machine,loads of torque but super smooth power.the one i had a go on was an ex demonstrator which john shirt jnr had ridden in 03 ssdt,a mate of mine has purchased it.

superb boots!.the best value for money boot you will buy.i have been wearing them for a couple of years now with no problems at all,they usually last about 6-7 months worn every week and alot of practicing in the summer.i wore hebo boots for a few years before that alpinestars.

HI, a few weeks ago i purchased a pair of neoprene trials gloves made by "xciting" from <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> trials shop at barnsley.they are the dogs b!!!!!s in the wet.i rate them 9/10 on keeping you warm and dry.

HI, i forgot to add to my last topic.spotted ex schoolboy champion richard timperly on a gas gas 280?.i also saw john shirt,dan thorpe,richard timperly and shirtys side kick john hulme had xciting jackets on.i thought the team wore hebo clothing?.the trial had a mega class entry on the hard route in what looked like a realy good trial.very cold but at least the rain kept off.dan thorpe looked on mega form.
