  1. I went to a Ryan Young 2 day school a few weeks ago. Not only is he an amazing rider; he is a phenomenal teacher. As for the DVD, I have the first one and it is excellent. As for the price, he maybe pockets 10 bucks per copy. He makes nothing from these. I think we are fortunate he takes the time to do the DVD's and run schools, He gives so much to the sport, kicking in a few bucks for a DVD is the least we can do. Dave
  2. Hi Robert The ATA site is a mail list not really a site. The easiest way to access it is thru the links on www.trialscanada.com Your best bet would be Neil Carter, if he can't help you he should at least be able to send you in the right direction. Best of luck, Dave
  3. Careful Andy "Hell Freezes Over" is a pretty good Eagle's album. You and Lane may yet make beautiful music together
  4. This is Sherco's revenge - he's the Xispa model
  5. Its a question of property rights. If you build something under license, then fine. But if you steal something, that's something different. I agree with Titanium, its more than which bike you like. If you had done all the work that Sherco has done then someone goes and steals it, you'd be pi**ed too.
  6. A Turkey Baster (with the bubble off) makes a good funnel to add oil to the crankcase. Its measured too. Also a little 75wt residue adds a nice flavour to the turkey as well
  7. Thankyou, I'll give that a try. Think I'll pass on the flameout though. Dave.
  8. I too use WD40. I just sprayed the chain but got some on the rear brake. Not knowingly I rode it and the brake pads got some on them. Is there a way to clean the pads? Thanks, Dave
  9. All good advice, but the thing no one has touched on and you need to be ready for; the women will find you considerably more appealing on a Sherco. Good Luck.
  10. Ahhh, Lord Black. He bot the title, and in doing so had to renounce his Canadian citizenship. He now wants it back, 'cause if he is convivted the "hard time in the Big House" will be much easier on a Canadian citizen,he would try to serve his time here. He is a poofter of the highest degree, IMHO. He is the Lord of Bar Harbour, the only territory that would sell him the title. Reputedly a hole, perhaps someone more familiar with the area can shed some light. But his daughter is kinda cute. This topic is so far off topic I expect iminent punting.
  11. Thanks Gents I have Falcons on it from B J - I 'll give them a call. Thanks, Dave
  12. I am looking at putting new footpegs on my TY 250 D; '77 or '78 I think. Are there any that will bolt on or do I have to get into welding. Thanks in advance for any help / advice. Dave
  13. Hey Kyle You need to get in touch with Outlaw Dave at www.outlawtrials.com He's only about half a hemisphere away in the B.C. interior. He should help get you sorted. Once you start keeping your feet up, you'll never want to put them down again. Dave
  14. I'm for a parallel universe forum. But then I'll watch Jerry Springer and be amused. How about Trials and Tribulations. Definitionof tribulations: " an experience that tests ones endurance, patience or faith. Sounds like Michland to me. Dave
  15. The big thing about Supercross, Nascar etc. is the organizers ability/skill at creating stars that the average Joe can cheer for. I agree that Supercross has a bit of a vacuum now that RC has left. But I bet it won't be long till a new superstar is created to do battle with Bubba. I like that trials is more of an insiders sport. You have to go and find it and when you do you are rewarded with something special and unique. Same with endurocross. While I admire RC and Bubba, its really just a big circus created to sell bikes.
  16. Envelopes seem appropriate; everybody's dying for their stickers. Sorry, couldn't resist
  17. I was in NYC in September and Saks Fith Avenue had a few racks of jackets and a prominent display of Belsaff stuff. They've come a long way for sure.
  18. I'll bite - the photo is Mich's ego?
  19. Yeah good luck with that Mr. Clean. I'm sure the States are way better. And don't forget, when they tell you that you are their best employee, it's just before you get gassed. Happily watching from the right side of the border, Dave.
  20. Great post - gets my vote for post of the year. Now I will sit back and wait for Lane's opposing view of how the Europeans did cowboys better.
  21. Nice one woody, you beat me. Good site eh?
  22. Yeah you may have Laia's program but do your tights fit like hers?

    Motocross!

Sorry to hear about that Lane, it must be awfully frustrating. But since you are in the movie business, and keeping with your mindset of every obstacle being an opportunity, how about a remake of Fantastic Voyage? The crew of Ishy, Ringo, Sendero Alan and Craig could be shrunken down, travel thru the blood stream and zap the bugger. Just watch out for the ooops, missed it. Don't know who would play the Raquel part either.
  24. If you enjoyed your ty, you owe it to yourself to try a modern trials bike. You will love it. An enduro is always an option but make sure you won't miss trials. I think if you enjoyed trials before you still will, probably even more so. I would reccommend making a trials bike work on the trails as opposed to an enduro. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your decision.
