Now there's a point. Whilst you lot were tucked up in your beds last night dreaming of riding like Bou, Martin Lampkin, Neil Crosswaite and their team were working through the night to clear the arena. Unknown fact, but that lot of sections you watched have to be out of there by the next morning for the next event to move in so the guys work throughout the night. Major credit to them.

Was talking about this last night and I said I had a quote from Laia Sanz from a few years back on Bou. From 2003, but she was right. "Toni is in the Joan Pons Trial Team along with Laia and he's a name Laia reckons we should watch for the future."

It wasn't the toughest section, but they could have put a brick on the floor in that arena and I'd have been happy to see the name of this site on it. 8000 people saw the name plus tens of thousands more will on Eurosport.

It should hopefully be better this year. They had a proper outside broadcast unit in the car park, two cameramen (as opposed to normally just one) and the sections miked up for sound.

The atmosphere was the best I've seen at Sheffield at the end. The noise on the Arena floor was absolutely unbelievable. Everywhere I looked folk were on their feet at the end cheering. Typical British "support the underdog" stuff - none of this booing foreign riders like you see in some countries The whole place was behind him. PS. I was in the red fleece with the old TC logo on it - not got stuff made up with the new logo yet.

That's a VERY good point Bob! I've seen photos taken from the seating at Sheffield and in most cases you have to use digital zoom and the quality due to shake is very poor. I'll be at Sheffield as normal, but on the Arena floor - up close. My photos will be on trialsphotos.com the next day and a mere fiver gets you a month's access to seriously high res photos to take as much as you want.

I won't be going either if it's a Friday.

Only Japan and USA will be two day events. The rest are all one day. Some of the one-dayers have something organised for the Saturday - Women's rounds, UEM Youth etc.

It's been raised hundreds of times before and never yet been settled! Topic closed.
