  1. Sounds like the vent was too small causing too much pressure in the tank and once high enough it forced fuel vapors out and so posibly condensing into fuel again causing this problem. Hence why drilling a bigger hole fixed the problem
  2. I think you may find the wheel rim is off set to the right from the hub . I would get rim re spoked.or trued up .
  3. Ow no iv all ready got a rev 3 just would like to know what the diferent bikes offer off what every one thinks it just a open descousin to see what people like and dislike about there bikes
  4. I agree the beta feels abit harder to ballance in a tight turn but learning to shift your boddy over by hanging over the bike all most like you shift off the bike .iv rode a gasgas once for 10 minutes and liked how light it felt. But I wonder if it's down to the wheel base .
  5. Hi all just a thought what traits do the different bike manufacturers have like gassgass 250 line beta rev 250 sherco 250 line. Just would like to know how they ride differently. i don't want a debate about which one is the best just like to hear what the differences are .

    Reliability

I think things are getting out of hand here. At the end of the day as long as u are on a trials bike of any brand having fun it shouldn't matter to any one what make of bike you ride at least it's more people out and about having fun .

    Reliability

To be fair it's more down to how you look after the bike . If you ride rough a***d you are going to brake things lack of maintenance is for sure a fast way for parts to wear out . Nothing is bomb proof you ask people what is the best street bike a honda yamaha suzuki kawasaki and you will get a mixed bag . Iv owned all four makes and not one was perfect but I still like them all you just have to take it on the chin if something goes wrong and sort it as you would with a beta gass gass sherco and the rest . I think it's more a marketing strategy to get people to fight over what's the best bike when there isn't one. Just my 10 pence on the table
  9. All sorted now flushed out the radiator and on dranine the coolant there looks to be some rad weld gold stuff but I think it was some material from where they fixed the casing . But now the fan cuts in and cuts out so zerorevrev4 you know what to do now lol . Thanks dadof2

    2006 Beta Rev 3

Hi iv noticed my fan runs constantly when the bike gets hot when I'm out riding it and doesn't switch off at all. The water pump is in tact coolant is up to the fill neck . Or is it normale for them to be constantly running when up to a certain temperature. Chears ian
  16. Ok sounds like you have still got a carb ration issue . Or a crank seal gone on the left side of the engine causing oiling up of the plug . I went out on my beta last week and Wass on it for 5 hours and it rode perfectly constantly all day . With it not responding when u try to wheeli sounds like it's bogging out and has no power antill it clears out the unburnt oil . Does it idle , or you could find the float hight is too high flooding the engine on the steep hill decent . Trick one to diagnose with out being there
  17. Hi have you had any luck yet with your bike

    2006 Rev 3

This is what my casing looks like with the hole on the left of the water pump casing but this is a picture of a 2001 engine just so every one knows what im on about as it may not make sense what im on about thanks ian

    2006 Rev 3

Ow ok so it has two water passages as I thought some one might of put a 2001 engine in the 06 frame .as the water flows from the pump to the block though the engine with out two pipes . And looking at new cases for a 06 the hole is blanked off that goes through the case to the crank casing which made me think iv got a wrong engine for year of bike . Thanks ian

    2006 Rev 3

Hi just wondering what the water passage through the clutch case is for or should it not have one as I do need a new case as mine is corroded,if you remove the water pump cover to reveal the water pump to the left of the water channel it has a hole through to the other side of the engine . it has two coolant pipes on the water pump cover so im confused to where the watter flow goes should it circulate from the pump through the coolant pipe to the exhaust and up to the head or does it circulate the water round the exhaust to warm it up faster . thanks
  23. Ok sounds right . Worth checking the fan isn't running when you first start up the bike from cold . Hope its just in need of a good run and works out good for you
  24. Ok how much oil are you adding to the 1 liter of fuel at a time
  25. hmmm I wonder if you have a crank seal gone or your statore could be going as this would cause a weak spark under load , my plug is 7 and il look at it tomorrow to see what its burning like .are you shaking the fuel properly to mix the oil up , how are you mixing the oil and fuel. and are you turning the choke off as soon as it starts and not ridding with it on , sorry for all the questions just trying to cover the basics
