Hi I think we just "over cover" the rear brake,as sometimes it is not possible to keep the foot over it when leaning extremely forward as for launching up a big step or climbing a real steep hill.. Ask this guy if he always covers it..
-
That's true but a mechanic with good skills and Walmart tools won't do the job as easy and with the pleasure of an high end workshop
-
Thanks for the feedback! Do you know an expected delivery date?
-
How would you compare the Vertigo to the Gasser? To me it looks like more planted and stable a bit less "play bike" and agile than a GG. Am I wrong?
-
I'm using one on my gasser and it feels smoother and more precise. Like it

I'd go for a 2016 GG 300 racing..currently I have a 2005 280 TXT pro and it is just awesome, compact, very light yet stable, easy to maintain, spares easy to find and gives me so much fun every time I go out training(4 times a week for a total of 6-7hrs)
-
Looking awesome with the white frame like the '16! Good job

Well I just rolled the bars a tad backwards, stayed a bit more relaxed and upward and felt a ton better. Does latest bikes have a lower vertical balance point? I tried lifting it from an high front wheel position and stay balance and bounce like I do with the push bike but it has to be nearly vertical to stay there

Going out training right now and I'll try to apply all the above! As far as riding with more experienced riders till now I've trained on my own and just tonight I'm going out for dinner with a local trials club to finally join them for the next season

I would say yes, I can full lock turn over the greasy mud. What I feel is I start to crouch as I lose balance instead of staying nice and relaxed
-
Hi guys, I'm in a weirdo balance situation. I can balance with engine off on concrete with race tyre pressures with one and even with no hands but when I'm riding I just don't seem to have all that balance. So what might be the deal? Concentration issues? Also I train on a daily basis with a wobble board and a trials push bike. Cheers
-
I'm training one evening with trials push bike in the yard and the other with my gasser with one of those bright MTB led torches. I love it! Just buy one of those off eBay or Amazon and have fun

Hi, my suggestions are slip the clutch and never ever spin the wheel, once it starts spinning the traction is gone and keep that weight heaps back and low to maximize the tire footprint. Also keep the highest amount of pressure on the pegs possible, the instant you relief a tiny amount you'll lose grip, try to think "I want to snap my pegs!" That should give enough pressure! Practice practice practice do it a billion times and it'll come together
-
Yeah! Gas Gas Gas been saved
-
I will check it all tonight. Thanks
-
Well it doesn't make any rumbling noise or anything, carburetion wise it is spot on ab tad reach on the low side but than it is perfect. Maybe the crankshaft shoulders are misaligned?
-
Well, just tried to rock up and down the flywheel with cold and hot engine but had no chance to feel any minimal amount of play..same was for the conrod when I changed the piston and little end bearing, all mint
-
Thanks I'll do it tomorrow, that will assess if the bearings have play and so are gone

Hello, just bought a few months ago a GG280 2005 from an hunter which he was using to ride around the forest. The number of hours it has on it it's sadly unknown and after changing piston, clutch, rebuilding the suspensions and the linkage and countless money I blew it has a strong Vibration when I cleanout the engine. This happens when the revs go up and at a certain rotation it starts vibrating like mad. All screws are nice and tightened and I'm thinking about crankshaft bearings or even unbalanced crankshaft. Any thoughts? Cheers
-
Well now that they are back when can I order a 2016?
-
Any advice on how to get traction on slippery muddy up-hills?
Edit: just figured out myself.
So momentum is your best friend but when you have limited run up distance I found useful doing this:
-rev the engine up
-start fading in slowly the clutch
-when the bike is moving release the clutch while pushing hard as on the pegs
-if it isn't enough do a few traction hops
-
The mental aspect is a key factor, a few seconds without being focused and bang your out of the games. I just bought today ono of those bright led cycle lights so I can train after work. Sadly I live in a flat part of north Italy so there's nobody around me doing trials nor knowing what trials is all about. My training plan now is: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 45 to 60 minutes bike trial, Tuesday and Thursday 1 hour of trials, Saturday from 2 to 5 hours of enduro and finally Sunday 2 hours of trials and a good rest. That will get me going at a good pace hopefully!

Since august I've started bike trials and I'm doing it daily so it really boosts my balance and technique and yeah training on a specific section really helps..yesterday I focused on riding over logs, so double blip, wheelie, balance and control where involved and the progress is almost every attempt
