4RT has fuel (wet plug) and spark but won't start...
Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2005 model way back in 2007, turned out I over oiled my air filter, Sandifords advised me to remove rear mudguard, air filter top/air filter and fire trap, do the reset procedure then it started, a small lesson learnt not to over oil your filter, you could also try a brand new spark plug to

Rusted swing arm bearings, and why are there holes in the back of the bearing seats?
If you look round your Beta alloy frame and swing arm you will see various small vent holes to release the inside air pressure when welded

Rusted swing arm bearings, and why are there holes in the back of the bearing seats?
They might be air vent holes they put in before welding, when a part is welded like the hollow section of the swing arm is welded to the alloy bearing part you mentioned the air inside will heat up and increase in pressure and would want to escape leading to a defected joint, so a small hole is put into part of the fabrication to allow the hot air from the hollow section to escape via the small hole in the bearing part

- Montesa 242 tank
Thanks for your replies, will check the front mount for the eccentric bosses?- Montesa 242 tank
Hi, recently purchased a 242 but I find the petrol tank doesn't fit that well around the rear shock absorbers, it's an original white plastic tank not fibreglass, has any of you had this problem?? when I put the long bolt in through the front of the tank and pivot the tank down to its proper seating position on the frame it fouls the rear shocks, the bike is totally original never trialed having spent its life in the warm Italian sun- Advice for a beginner...
Scorpa sy250 yamaha engine model or Montesa315 would be a good choice- Twinshock trials bikes
