    Weight

It is light not because the parts are weak, it is because its a brand new design from guys that have had experience with another ex brand before (jotagas) so they come from already low weight bike idea, to a new redesign frame and motor from the ground up...! Different than in others brands as sherco or GG where they have a huge investment in engine alluminum cast molds and frame gigs from10 or so years before, and they needs to "pay" for this investments made. This is why this brands only make small changes on a yearly basis. Doing a full change in frame, emgine design and modifing production standards , molds and process, would cost a fortune.!
  2. Clutch is one of the virtues of my new 300 TRS..! Smooth as silk, effort is better, softer pull than my ex sherco
  3. My TRS tank is holding fine.. great plastic, same as other brands. Very thick resin
  4. Mine starts at first kick..! No complaints with starting..
  5. After 3 months with them, my new 300 TRS is the best I had so far. I came from a 2013 gasgas and a 2015 sherco, and this bike is a pleasure to ride..! Very clever and nice engeneering details and a breeze to work on.! Power wise, is a rocket compared with the sherco.! Only complaint is rear suspension a little bit harsh..! Easily fixed with a reiger aftermarket shock..!
  6. My experience with my ex new 2014 sherco ST 300 was horrible... I couldnt make it to fine tune this bike properly, when I was doing a section downhill, it just stalled... It was a complete nightmare, I just end up turning the idle screw up in order to avoid stalling... I just fortunately sold it, and bought a brand new Jotagas.. so far very happy with it, great bike, how a trials bike should be...!
  7. Fuel pump is picky to carburate, not easy to tune up and maintenance demanding... I would go with other brand with less tricky funky "inventions"...
  8. Perhaps a Jotagas with fuel injection...
  9. Excellent..! Thanks for your kind reply... I was wondering if the "golden rules" for gasgas clutches also applies to Jgas, I mean 9.75 mm pack height and 17 mm hub to top (fingers) distance...?
  10. James, when I mean Jotagas I mean Jgas, I just use these terms interchangeably.... Problem is in my country is easier to find GasGas spares than JGas...
  11. Does anyone know if the GAS GAS pro clutch discs could fit the JOTAGAS clutch... Do I need to take into account the magic number of 17 mm inner hub to finger height and 9.75 mm clutch plates thickness..? Does this rules applies to JGAS clutches also..?? Please anyone who could help me please with this could be great.. I appreciate..!! .
  12. Use a leonelly magnetic kill lanyard switch... That wouldnt let the engine to rev up...!!
  13. Beta all the way... I had a 2014 ST sherco 300 and I end up selling it after fiddling 3 months trying to carburate it... It comes with a fuel pump which is a nightmare to mantain and to carburate... Sherco comes with formula brand clutch and brake controls which I coudnt end liking... Clutch are similar between the two brands... Chasis Beta wins hands down... Quality wise, and longevity is far better with Beta... In all these years I've been buying trials bikes, I have learned Beta are hard to kill, bullet proof bikes... I would go with Beta.... .
  14. A test from a dedicated trials page from Spain about the JGAS 300 2014... Have a look... http://www.trialworld.es/pruebas/moto-trial/1409-prueba-jotagas-jt-300-2014-.html
  15. I fitted the German trialparts oil cap yesterday... Best mod I have done so far...! No oil spill anymore.. 400 cc of ATF oil inside, none of a spill yesterday riding non stop for 4 hrs...!! Highly recommended for all JTG users..!!
  16. Off the record, If this helps, one reason I changed from sherco to JTG was that the sherco carburation was impossible for me to dial... with that fuel pump is impossible for me to tune the keihin carb it comes with.... when going downhill that bike tends to quit or to lower the engine idle.... you have to test yourself both bikes to see what I mean...
  17. got you...!! Easier than I thought thanks for your insight...!
  18. Telecat... what kind of tap do you need to tap that hole (measurement in mm) ?, Is it supplied with this cap..? Does the old nipple has any kind of screw groove in it, or just pull it out with force in order to remove this old nipple...? Please enlighten us, cause I´m a little nervous dealing with this delicate procedure of removing and retapping the engine case....
  19. Telecat...How did you cancel the old breather nipple...??
  20. Keep us posted, I have also ordered one of those caps..
  21. A recent review in a spanish magazine, compared the power of the jotagas 300, the Gas Gas 300 and the Sherco ST 300. All ´14 models. Sherco 300 being the tamest and gas gas being most powerful. They placed the JTG 300 right in the middle of them... I had a sherco 300 and changed to a Jgas 300 and let me tell you, power wise, I couldnt feel any difference...both very similar... you could feel the weight difference when doing rear or front hops though...! JTG Easier to move all the time....!
