Travelled all the way to Brands Hatch for the Trade and Press Barons Trial ( in the woods). Arrived, unloaded bikes, got riding gear out........no freeking boots. Left on office desk back at the shop miles and miles away. I’m a size 10 had to wear someone else’s size 8’s welly boots very uncomfortable.

Erm....you quoted on my post, naturally I would reply to any quote but in a respectful way.?

If you are intending to keep the old pump as a spare then coat it with silicon spray and place the pump in a plastic bag. This will keep the seal from drying out and sticking to the shaft. May even stop the squeak.
-
So have you gone upstairs and forgotten why you went? Or gone downstairs only to find what you went for is still......upstairs.???♂️

Try these companies.
www.thn.nl/product-line/piston-rings
www.hastingspistonrings.com
I got these companies and explored what they do, by the way they carry stocks of rings there must surely be a match to your requirements. Bore size and piston nomenclature will be needed for this to happen?May be if you hit them with the size you need you might get a favourable response.?

Hello from Robin Hood country?
-
As I suggested, try some new anti freeze of the correct type. You might also try dropping in a small amount of silicon fluid if the noise persists. It might also be a sign that there is wear in the bearing, worth removing the pump and checking thoroughly?
-
Good luck with whichever you choose. Chinese version might not be that bad either.

Oh so cruel, farewell ? farewell??♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️??

Along with that bottle of compression....?
-
Yep, but diesel fuel when it is delivered to the injector is under tremendous pressure and by rights there should be no air in the fuel anyway...air can be compressed so will prevent the injector ‘cracking’ or opening properly. A diesel fuel system that has air in it is a system with a fault, masking it with add ons just lines the pockets of the entrepreneur!
Common rail systems have non return valves to prevent potential airation, poor or worn seating will cause low idle and high idle issues together with starting problems. Any seals that have been attacked by diesel should be replaced with the latest fuel proof items.
Older style in line pumps and rotary pumps have their own set of wear problems such as transfer pump vanes breaking up or poorly maintained filters and leaking ‘O’ ring pump seals.

Whats wrong with the rad, some radiator repair companies can recore your rad for not too much money. (At least in the UK there are)

Or leaving the HT lead off the plug?

The rack looks the business with what look like substantial welds. Trouble is that there is now so much leverage acting upon the tow ball that every mounting point on the car is being loaded, more so than when towing a trailer as most of the weight is supported by the towed items wheels.
As oni nou suggests an alternative additional strap arrangement to spread the load over more of the car might make things more stable. The saving grace here is that you probably will only use the rack occasionally rather than full time.

?slow off the mark, which or what mark are you alluding to I wonder???♂️?English is my furst lankwich but eye ce u over yus hyphen.
And as for ‘next day’ come on surely a month or two must pass before anything new comes out of the marketing department....
Did the M.D. take a picture or could it have been a photograph!

If all is well with carb and no fuel leaks i.e. you have set the carb float tangs and modified the atmospheric vent pipes, then it might just be a case of the idle speed being to slow....in all down hills you should blip the throttle as too long on throttle closed may cause piston nipping ( seizure) due to lack of petroil mix.

He just sold them from his postal service or directly over the counter. I inferred that he might have had someone else make them to, what with his connections. I purchased my aluminium tank assembly from the Sammy Miller Accessories business, very good service and the tank fitted perfectly well. I didn’t suffer the cracking that some of these units developed, probably because I used rubber buffers to keep the frame tubes and underside of the unit separate. I sold the bike a few months later so have no idea if the unit cracked between the seat base and tank or anywhere else.? I use the term ‘Mr Miller’ as a point of respect. In so far as correcting any one, that is not for me to impart as we all learn from each other’s experience, knowledge and suggestions.?

Hermetic is an air tight seal, that’s a devastating use of the incorrect phrasing, virtually an admission that the last engine had air leaks!! ? But it sounds as though they have employed cassette style main bearing carriers, possibly also using a bearing that has a seal in the outside edge of the bearing, that used with an oil seal might give produce the ‘hermetic effect’ they waffle on about. But as we know Bultaco and others used back to back crank main bearing oil seals so nothing new there, but added frictional losses to account for.
Oh dear, by translating the English to English we arrive at a conundrum. “New crankshaft bearings that ensure the correct lubrication of the engine” c’ est impossible!!! Were previous engines not lubricated correctly? Just how can a bearing ensure correct lubrication, a bearing might ensure correct location and hold the crank in alignment however, you would need an oiling system to ensure correct lubrication. As we know the two stroke uses the total loss method.???

If it was like their kickstarts then you had to pedal backwards!

There are companies in UK and the Netherlands that will make rings from your choice of material. As to cost, well they may have stock of the sizes you need or not. Like with all things in the engine trade the vehicle manufacturer, motorcycle manufacturer don’t make their own pistons or rings, they get them supplied from a piston maker who has all sorts as stock holding. I dare say that as Australia is a progressive country that there must be manufacturers ‘down under’ that may be able to help. Good luck ?

Well it looks just like all the others....nothing amazing. Bullet proof clutch...Kevlar no less, enter lots of ‘what oil should I use comments’. Crankshaft bearings that allow correct lubrication??? Were the old ones bad?
The advert ought to read...well we’ve had a look at all the others and we just want your money, so we’ve covered the bike in stickies, colourful ones as well and chiseled a few channels in the ally and cut the clutch cover in half...give us yer money.... we had to leave the wheels round, the 3D model worked fine on screen but we want your money so we had to be realistic because you actually ride our products...give us your money....why we even left it with a carb so that you can fiddle and buy spurious tuning gizmos and worry about set up settings....Hey we even made a side stand that you can operate with your boot sole, surely a first...give us your money. Now we’ve got loads of your money we can pay a good rider to make the bike perform amazingly well...any where...
I must buy one so that I to can just sit on the bike by a section and look amazing ?

Sticker engineering. It’s racy!!! (says so in the blurb).
-
Yes I believe they were Homerlite made. But Mr Miller has many contacts so there may have been other makers.
-
Maybe you need to start again. Remove float bowl and make sure it is not distorted, in other words useca straight edge across its mating surface. Now ensure by referring to or checking against a parts list that you have everything you’re supposed to have in the carb. With the carb assembled gently blow into the fuel entry point with your mouth and with your finger gently hold the float against the needle valve, if you can’t stop your breath from entering the fuel entry point then there obviously is something seriously wrong with either your fitting or those parts fitted. Let the float drop a little, lift it back up to prove it works as it should. If there is a tickler plunger make sure it’s not stuck down. There was a need for a carb mod on later models, could be worth checking out.

No you’re not, you are oni nou. Any way they never made a pedal Fantic!
