Shall I clean it off a bit with abrasive paper before I apply the paint? Just to get the older stuff off.

Howdy, Just been flicking though the websites of Montesa and found Apex Sports, and looked at downpipes (As mine need painting) and looked at the prices. The 97-99 downpipe (Matt Black Painted) Is $156.68, which converted in to roughly

  5. I didnt write the message! I was quoting..
  6. Just found this from a trials forum website (bike trials) of a group that are organising a bike trial at Bracken Rock (just a practice/mess about) .... I dont think You'll get in mate. he says nobody is to go practicin at all, only time its gunna be open is when a motobike trial is on. Have a look in the TMX (trials and motocross news) and look in the back at trials dates and see if there is a trial this weekend. Cheers Chris The date was Nov 13 2003 so its a little old... But is this true?

No idea what your talking about, but if you want to make something stick, try Evo-Stick which is a contact glue. Apply the glue to the bike and to the stuff your putting on, leave for a few minutes until it is touch dry (done tacky) then join together. It wont come off easily!
  8. Hi Niki, My trousers are the same, and annoyed me when they were new, but you'll soon get used to it. Yes there should be lining on the inside, if it continues to bother you, you might wish to sew a softer, more comfortable material over it (on the inside of the leg) to stop it irrortating.
  9. Not sure exactly, but I recently found the UK (Or Scotland) Lewisport...I didn't know there was one! Had a look around and seem pretty cheap, could be worth a look...lewisport.co.uk

  13. I totally agree! You will learn it better if you mess it up, then you learn how to mess it up, aswell as how to fix it. Then next time you come to remove that part again, you will know the rights and wrongs. But, its a bit scary isn't it? Wonder builds all the engine up, with something in his pocket, or its wrongly essembled and Gav starts it up...distoryed. HRC
  14. I love the logo and think its a great idea and can really promote this site, but would it be better to have trialscentral.com? As this way they know its a website rather then something else rather then a shop or something. Just an opinion. Great work Mark! Note: Thats only if you were thinking of selling the stuff...

Its very good, I strongly recommend it. Where abouts are you Timp?
  17. Ooooooohhh!
  18. Just finished watching the Barcelona round on M&M and watching Adam Raga's celebration at the end of sticking a rocket to the fender and wheelieing it around the arena...and then he just jumps off the bike and lets it crash. How come none of them ever fail when celebrating? I've never seen any rider flip it or anything when pulling a massive wheelie around the arena...have you? HRC
  19. Check the beta forum, r2w has but a website that has online manuals for models 1991 till 2004 I think.
  20. I dont think they will if you have to by new clamps for tapered bars, rather then just keeping the orignal normal ones...if you follow...

Some of you might find this helpful... It is my local Army Surplus, they stock good quality stuff at good prices. There website is here. I think they do oversea's delivery. I have brought many, many things from here, mainly waterproofs and camping equipment, and it is all good.
  22. Ive never snapped any handlebars... Ive had Renthals all the time, aswell as Hebo's now and again, never snapped any of them, only bent them.
  23. I already have a service manual, I was just noting that most other brand of bike will produce an online manual, but montesa dont seem too.
  24. Ohhh, seen this before, and completely forgot about it. Cheers!

I use 10T front and 40T rear. I am used to the ratio and its perfect for me. Just got my new spockets and chain last week from Sandifords, VERY impressed with them. Its a Talon front (as normal on my bike) and a SuperSprox rear, which is very nice, and looks very strong. Also with TrialPro Iris chain...all for about
